Hey all - just a quick note here. Version 1.3 will likely be the final release in terms of adding new content, so I'm considering this mod to be feature-complete. I will continue to look at any bugfixes that may pop up, especially with the upcoming release of Shattered Space, but for now I'm moving on to other mods.

If you want to change the NV4 from its default HUD UI icon (it currently uses the Maelstrom icon), then I highly recommend using ProfX66's Ammo HUD mod! We worked together to integrate this mod into theirs, which adds the NV4 HUD UI icon to both Standard and Flatline variants. Download the compatibility patch in the Optional Files section of my mod page. Make sure to load the compatibility patch AFTER the NV4 main mod.

I also created a patch to remove the holographic ammo counter, for those who requested it. It can be downloaded from the Optional Files section of my mod page. Make sure to load this patch AFTER the NV4 main mod. It is completely compatible with the Ammo HUD patch (order doesn't matter as long as both load AFTER the main mod).

Thanks everyone for your interest! Endorse and vote if you appreciate the mod!

The weapon's damage is only 16.9! There is no damage increase when using semi-automatic instead of fully automatic. Even my Beowulf gun, which is fully automatic and has a fire rate of 150, hits 70! The look of the gun is really nice, but its damage... It's mediocre in terms of damage. Advanced Maelstrom is stronger than this. I wish there was a way to increase his damage.

So im confused..... It says replacer and standalone in this? Which is it? I use several of your gun mods already, but I don't want a mod thats gonna replace a vanilla weapon

Okay thank you! Sorry I don't mean to sound brash, it's just the title and description say both.

You'd have to ask the author of that mod.

This looks and handles great! Thanks for your work on this! My 1911 and this, are my only weapons. Cheers!!!

One issue I think I have, and probably one of my mods doing it, is the muzzle flash is green in color. As is what appears to be the explosive rounds when the round strikes its target. The reason I am posting before investigating, is that all the other guns have the normal yellow/orange muzzle flash. Just wondering if that is the expected outcome?

    Mods that modify colors (AFAIK):

    • Neutral LUTs

    • SETI (Ship Exterior True Illumination)
    • EXE (Effect Textures Enhanced)
    • Darker Nights
Now that I've written that list, gonna look at EXE and report back.

    Edit: Yep. It was EXE.
    Cheers all.

PPS EDIT: Oh, it was the depleted uranium rounds =D hahah, ok. EXE super enhanced that effect.

Another thing I've noticed, changing the receiver to semi-automatic does not appear to give a damage boost to the damage number displayed, like it does with vanilla weapons. Is this intentional?

Aside from adjusting the base damage value of the weapon, I made no changes to any values of the attachments or mods.

Any way to tweak the lower-detail LOD models? If your companions are a little far away or you move the camera too far in photomode, the low-detail LOD doesn't look right (suppressor too far forward / detached). This was an issue with original mod as well. Would be cool if you could fix this!

Either way, thanks for making this version! I agree the original was very underpowered by being a maelstrom conversion.

I don't know anything about that, so I won't be looking into that particular issue.

Looks good and not out of place. Very nice job. Hopefully, the reticle fix comes soon.

Reticle is still missing for me in first person view. Installed it through vortex. Anything I can do to fix this?

The flatline version when crafted always comes at the lowest level. Dmg is at 15, but my character is at level 70. The regular version doesn't do that, it scales up by what it seems.

Overall I really love the rifle. It's sleek, performs well and looks aesthetically as if it belongs in the universe. The only thing I would wish for is a version without the holographic ammo counter.

The missing reticle is a bug that was accidentally reintroduced. There will be a fix out probably tomorrow.

Will you release an Xbox version of this mod? Looks great.
