I got the legendary Anti-Xeno armor set from the Vanguard questline, it has none of the medic skins in its cosmetic list. I thought maybe MonkeyChief's UC Military Overhaul mod may have something to do with it since the mod changes the armor names Antixeno to UC Xenowar along with Urbanwar to UC Recon. It turns out that because those two armor have their named changed the skins don't fall under those armor anymore.
Update: So as an alternate fix I spawned one of the armors that have it and manually added the armor tier quality and the mods that came with it. If anyone uses mods that change the name of the armors like I have it wont have the skins listed in it.
Thanks for the note. I'll check on it. In past testings, I've found you could craft the skins on any armor based on the UC Marine models, you just had to contend with multiple entries thanks to the models using about 2-3 layers of "assets" (basic suit - padding - armor plating).
You should be able to purchase UCN Corpsman armors (there's no difference in stats between them and regular UC suits in this build) at UC Distribution, Red Devils HQ, maybe UC Surplus in The Well, UC Exchange in Cydonia, and find sets lying around the shelves and counters at RDHQ. The process of crafting skins for them is pretty straighforward.
Thanks for your interest in the mod!
UPDATE: Confirmed. But I suspect the conflict lies with MC117's Spec-Ops skins. I've been able to craft Corpsman Skins for the Starlaw suit just fine.
UPDATE #2: Also confirmed--the conflict lies with the Spec-Ops skins. The basic Overhaul mod plays just fine with this one.
Glad that you were able to find that. I thought it was cause of the item name change. Enjoying the mod, I always like being a Paladin in fantasy games so Combat Medic it is for games like this. Shame that CM has no real conversation options, I only saw two. Most of the time it is medicine.
Thanks for an amazing skin mod, looking forward to possible future updates mentioned in the description tab.
I've been looking for a way to remove the armoured face plate on the anti-xeno helmet. Preferably by applying a craftable skin so you can toggle the faceplate by adding/removing the skin.
There is no mod that does this. But your mod seems to incorporate this idea.
I'm open to trying to make a mod for this myself. Is there a tutorial you used to accomplish this? Making a skin that simply removes an armoured layer?
In my case, it's not so much a case of removing the faceplate as it is using the basic UC Marine helmet.
Perhaps another modder can do with the UC Marine armored helmet what others did with the pirate assault helmet and Vanguard pilot helmets. I don't know if it opens/closes, or they just altered the mesh so the faceplate is slid further up the helmet.
These look so good. Paramedic here from TN, now retired and work in IT. I love these armors. The insignias look awesome with the right amount of wear and dirt. So good. Thanks for sharing your talents with the community.
Navy Chief Independent Duty Corpsman here, thanks brother this is sick. Appreciate you keeping us in mind. Any way you can add one with some Anchors on the rank tab?
Chief, I am honored at the praise. I did research on corpsmen--training, organization, symbols, etc., to come up with something that is similar to what you find in the USN (this is UC Navy, and I was just filling in the blanks Bethesda left open). I wound up with the rank patches you see on the left arms of the basic (should look like the HM2/E3 patch) and padded suits (looks like HM3/E4 rank patches).
Stay safe, Chief. And if you can't do that, be dangerous.
You were super close! The class of Petty Officer kind of goes in reverse: 2 Chevrons is HM2/E-5, and 3 Chevrons is HM1/E-6. When you become a Chief (HMC/E-7) you get a rocker on top of the 3 Chevrons, but uniquely our collar devices become Fouled Anchors.
