Shades Vehicle Tuner:Camping! Harvesting! New weapons! More weapon damage! Vehicle cargo storage! Various tweaks & fixes! Works with ALL VEHICLES - tune some vehicle stats using the added options in the Gameplay Options menu. This is the mod you are looking for.
Now if only we could get a mod that would give the vehicle actually working dampeners and shock absorbers... giant tyres, but whenever you drive against the tiniest rocks, the entire car bucks vertically into the air instead of simply driving over the obstacle that is less than 30% of the tyres' height.
Hi...so I'm confused...I purchased vehicle in New Atlantis, and the regular Rev-8 spawned, and there's no option to change it? Does it not work until the next time I land, or....? Does it matter where it loads? LOOT put it at the very bottom. Thanks.
From the beginning, you have the option to select the vehicle (in the menu where you also choose the vehicle's color). You can switch between your vehicles there, just like with spaceships. The load order shouldn't matter since my mod uses separate files and doesn't overwrite anything. Unfortunately, I can't tell you why it isn't appearing. Do vehicles from other mods show up?
That's what I thought. It says "standalone" so I figured it should be another selection. Going to try a couple more, just to see, but it never gave me an option to select but one vehicle. Believe me....I tried....lol. Went to several different ship vendors and only 1 vehicle to select at any of them. I do have Ship Vendor Framework installed, but that's the only thing I have that should touch anything to do with the buggy (if it even touches that part). I'm playtesting and troubleshooting a collection, so starting a new game everytime I change something. I'll grab one or two more, and see if they show up. Thanks for the response.
So...I'm embarrassed to admit this, but...apparently Vortex didn't enable the plugin, and I didn't notice it. When I found it disabled, and I enabled it...guess what happened? Exactly! Great work, mate. Cheers!
Already having a blast. I do kind of wish you could take the (no_music)...or w/e it says off the end of the name in the menu, though. Just looks ugly. Minor imperfection, though. I like this 100x better than the Rev-9 mod. It's just WAY too fast. This is perfect. Cheers.
StackGX, I'd like to modify the vanilla Rav-8 for my own purposes to make it slower, actually. Playing with mouse and keyboard is murder with no way to adjust speed. I took a look at your mod to see where you adjusted the speed but I can't find it anywhere. There were surprisingly few entries including Created Objects, Form List and Furniture, but looking through them I couldn't find anything that remotely seems to control speed. I'm sure it was right in front of my eyes and I missed it though. Could you point me to the right place?
Also endorsing this mod even though I'll be taking my own changes in a different direction. Thanks.
You can't change the vanilla version and are currently forced to make a standalone version because the vehicle datasets are hardcoded. In other words, you have to copy everything. Load the SFBGS004.esm in the CK along with starfield.esm. If you then search for rev8, you'll find everything you need. Copy the datasets shown in the following image (without SGX_) and update the references. You can find the values for speed, boost, steering, etc., in the furniture dataset in the inspector. That’s it. Feel free to use my mod as a reference.
I really appreciate you taking the time to answer and provide a screenshot. It took me a while to figure this out because I was looking for these figures in the Object Window, not the Inspector. The Inspector is new to me, but I can see now how it provides a ton of options.
So if I'm reading this correctly, your value for Engine Max Speed is 30, while the default is 15. If I give my custom vehicle a speed of, say, 10, I should be good to go (I can tweak it as needed). Thanks again for your help and I'm actually more excited to explore this Inspector window now than to create my new slower Rev-8.
Manual Installation: Choose the version (with or without music). Use the manual download on Nexus and extract the file. Move the ESM file into your Starfield Data folder (...SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Starfield\Data). Start the game, go to Creations, open the load order, and activate the mod. Now the mod is active, and the vehicle is available in-game.
Installation with a Mod Manager: Choose the version (with or without music). Install a mod manager like Vortex and use the Mod Manager download on Nexus. Install and activate the mod in the Mod Manager. Start the game, go to Creations, open the load order, and activate the mod. Now the mod is active, and the vehicle is available in-game.
@Kodizeraa It happens sporadically with every vehicle. It wouldn't make any sense either, because i only copied the original data and increased the values for speed and boost duration
