FYI: I've set the patch's version number to match MA's at the time of publishing. This does not mean that the numbers have to match. For example, patch 4 works with MA 5, but I published it when MA was in version 4.
Going from MA 4.0 to 4.01? That doesn't need a new patch. Matilija made changes to the elevator hatches to fix the issue that was happening in 4.0 with PDY. MA 3.0 needed a specific patch, also 3.0. If you're updating from MA 3.0, keep in mind that the master size goes back to full from medium, which can have an impact on your ships using MA parts. But if you already moved on from 3.0, then you're okay to update. Patch 4.0 will work with MA 4.01.
I'm glad that the patch has been useful to you. Keep on building those sweet ships! o7
I was saying the same thing after I managed to get it working LOL. This is actually the first patch I've made, so it took a little bit to figure out. I'm glad I could improve your shipbuilding experience :D
Will do for sure. Having an issue getting the V-Hab to work with PDY though. The walls inside the hab are still there with no doors at all. I can walk in through the wall from the back but once I'm in I'm stuck. Tried other doorways and same result.
Edit: I've tried the v-hab in the different orientations with fore/aft/port/starboard doors, passageways, and no insert, and I wasn't able to replicate this. Everything appeared as it should. Double check your load order to make sure this is after Matilija's Aerospace and Place Doors Yourself. Other than that, I've read that some people had issues where some masters at the end of the list wouldn't get loaded if you have too many mods installed.
I'd wager that's my issue, I have about 125 masters in my load order atm. I'll fiddle with it and see what happens. Thank you so much for your prompt responses, I really appreciate it.
That's probably what's going on. When you said that you got a one-way wall with no door, I thought of how the habs responded before I made the patch, so I figured maybe it's not getting applied. Perhaps you can locate some mods that you're not using anymore and slim down your load list a bit. I hope that helps.
Yep, that was it. There's a few that will load for sure past 100, but I still have some messing around to do to get it all perfect. I noticed a few that weren't loading after looking at my load order, thanks for the help!
Many thanks, friend! Been hoping that the mod author for Matilija would patch it themselves but they either don't have an interest or haven't gotten around to it yet.
You can have both mods loaded, but in order to get the PDY functionality to work in Matilija habs, the logic that sets up the various wall panels needed to be adapted. That's what this patch does.
PDY and the Ancient Mariner hab really is a problem.

That is why, in my latest post, I was wondering whether ppl are really using 2.0.7beta version of PDY, as I have been using Matilija habs since day 1, and PDY for an even longer time. If there was an issue, I would have noticed it, for sure.
Ancient Mariner is a paid-for 2x2 hab, that cost 1,000 CC credits. that somehow uses broken door logic and really can't be used with PDY.

Oh, I wasn't aware that Matilija's habs were working with PDY 1.x. I've only used 2.x, and a lot of it has changed between the major versions.

Totally, I've been using the 2.0.7 beta version of PDY since it was released, and it was far superior compared v1.x. It's easier to use, more compatible and more control over which side you want the door to open into. I'm actually surprised if there are people still using the initial version. I mean I understand if you're on an existing ship that you have initially built using version 1.x that you don't want broken if you updated. But if you're starting a new game or rebuilding your ship, might as well update to 2.0.7beta and reap all the benefits. Besides, only the 2.0.7beta was updated by the original author using the CK and it's the one approved for release on Xbox, so it actually passed all the strict compatibility and validation process that Xbox needs, so there's really no reason not to update to the latest beta version. I'm not even sure why the author still calling it beta, it feels more polished to me compared to v1.x.

@Meimeiriver Did PDY 2.0.7 beta fix the issues you were having with the Ancient Mariner? I took a look at it in Creations and it looks pretty nice. Edit: There's a bug report about this over on PDY's bug page.

Totally. I'm surprised the author is even still offering the 1.x series. See, the problem is that many people want to play it safe, and think "I'm going with the stable version, not the beta." Whereas 1.x is not only quite unstable, but also simply based on a now obsoleted idea. Honestly, I wish he would just remove the 1.x series for download altogether, and no longer brand 2.x as 'beta', as the latter is rock stable, and vastly superior to its predecessor.

Nah. Ancient Mariner hab is not fixed. Not the PDY author's fault, though. Turns out Mariner hab has an ESL flag, so he can't make an override patch for it.
Apparently, Ancient Mariner hab can still be successfully connected to, using PDY, via aft (and fore via direct cockpit link-up). Not ideal per se, but makes it possible to integrate it into your build, at least.
Cockpits automatically get a door with PDY. If you don't mind using console commands, you can disable the door and it won't show up again until you make a change in the ship builder. I usually do this because I prefer having a passageway into the cockpit as well, since I usually put it on a crew-only deck anyway. So I put a door to the crew-only deck instead.
I'm glad the patch improved your shipbuilding experience :D

I just wanted to do some testing to verify or it would have been up even sooner lol

Immediately downloading this!
Never had any issue with Matilija habs and PDY. But while you're at it, PDY and the Ancient Mariner hab really is a problem.

No, no, they don't work with 1.0 of PDY. :) Just the 2.0.07beta version.

It very well could be, with this patch.
