When in game make sure you already have the Nightwear in your inventory, this is a mesh replacer mod so it needs you to have that item to see the new outfit.

Please check your folders to make sure it looks like this:
    Starfield\Data\meshes\clothes\outfit_nightwear_01

If you're having issues please check the mod description carefully, make sure you have your StarfieldCustom.ini updated with the lines mentioned, as that allows you to see the file changes in game.

Also note that if you're planning on using console commands to add the item to your inventory, be sure to have an achievement enabler to allow you to still get them.

Thank you for this! I was disappointed with the lack of apparel options (especially the womens), when the NPC's get to wear far more interesting outfits. Would love to see this option (or other colour variations) as a mod

Ooo yeah can do, do you happen to have the console code for it?

Sorry, I don't! I haven't jumped into learning how to mod the game yet (waiting waiting for mesh importing)

in game, you can click on them, and use the console command: "inv" it will give you the console code for the particular outfit. i'm super interested in this outfit myself!

Pretty much all the apparel from neon city should be a clothing option ingame...hopefully when the creation kit drops we can try to address this.

There are a lot of toxic androgynous people working on Bethesda's team, they really need to be fired because they absolutely failed the females in this game

I'd be very grateful if you could do the same with this outfit, would love so much to have it for my female char. I think this is Clothes_Crowd_Neon_Fashion_01_NOTPLAYABLE (or same but _02) (000227BAA) - from what I found in console at least.

I was also interested in that outfit, so I went ahead and made my own mod using it as a replacer. Here it is.

No matter what I do, I can't seem to get this mod to work - I have installed the mod files in both the My Games and root Starfield folder, and have the StarfieldCustom.ini in both folders as well, yet when I equip the nightwear it still just shows the default nightwear.

It must be an error on my end, so thank you for the mod, but any help would be appreciated!

I added those lines and the outfit is showing up! I'm not sure if it was because I just downloaded a StarfieldCustom.ini from nexus or your lines that did it, but the outfit is showing up correctly - thank you! :)

^^ if the above wasn't in your original StarfieldCustom.ini file, it wouldn't work.

Sorry to bother you, can you make a version suitable for plump women?
I think my request is quite special because I want to play a plump woman in the game. I saw that this clothing module was supported, but there are also plump female NPCs wearing the same type of clothes in the game. I'm wondering if I can add one. The plump version of the player? The colors don’t matter, as long as they can support a plump body shape.
Sorry, my English is not very good, this paragraph is translated using Google Translate
As for the appearance of the clothes I mentioned, it is as shown in the picture

Unfortunately, I've spotted a problem. I gave the dress to one of my crewmembers, and shortly after noticed I was hitting invisible walls in the ship, and so were the other crew. I just got the "Sense Star Stuff" power and used it while on the ship, and as you can see the dress mesh has some large, invisible letters/shapes attached to it which move when the NPC moves, that's what I've been running into. Switching the NPC back into a normal outfit makes this disappear, so it's definitely this dress.

This mod isn't tested for use on NPCs, it's for the player, until more mod tools are available I won't be able to do anything about any flags or havok issues that the main mesh presents outside of normal use cases. Rather than using this mod on NPCs, it might work better to equip the actual NPC only version that comes in game and see if that works for them, but normally this outfit is flagged as non playable and only seems to show up on random citizens, so without seeing it with the creation kit I wouldn't know why.

Absolutely love this outfit! Thanks for the great mod!

Not sure if this is the appropriate place to ask but I would honestly love to request a purple version of this outfit!
Such as this NPC in Neon has:

(Have no idea how I'm considered hidden here but the stealth in this game is not necessarily a hard thing to achieve lol)

I'd need to wait until the modding tools are out, right now there's no way for me to change the texture without replacing it for all the existing versions of that colour in the game.
