I always felt Muria was maybe the basis for cut content for a "hidden companion", since there's a power that allows you to temporarily resurrect enemies... I could just imagine using it on her after she randomly dies (I've tried, it doesn't work), and it triggering some dialogue about you having brought her back and her realising you're actually a necromancer, and wanting to join you as a result...
The whole starborn powers is what I thought would be the perfect trigger for her to become a companion too. She complained that magic doesn't exist... So, guess what? It does! And if you travel with me you can learn this space magic too!
I'm generally weirded out how only Barrett seem to have an interest in getting one of the temple powers, but only one too. You'd think they'd be all over that possibility, but I'm sure Muria would definitely be. Maybe even have her meet & join you in NG+ WITH the knowledge and powers from another universe already.
I don't know. I thought the bug was fixed, but I often found her randomly dead. There was one time I accidentally killed her because there was a bounty nearby.
Afaik the bug is that NPCs sometimes spawn too high in the air when the city loads in, causing them to fall to their death. If this was intentional, like a suicide, I'd think they would do more than just have her lying there with no one reacting, no farewell letter or any other indicators that would make this plausible.
Wait, this is the Gal Bank chick, right? She can DIE? Man I have 1000+ hrs and have never found her dead, but Imma track this, just in case, because I love this chick.
She gives that whole 'I killed the cats to make it special' vibe, definitely not one to sell to the Alturists.
I am just waiting for some savvy coder girl to come along and revoice her, recode her, and turn her in to a fully fledged companion, with her own string of personal quests, including one to find the only roses brought from Earth, now lost to time.... so she can cut one, wait for it to wilt, and once dead, press it in a long forgotten self published poetry book by some cult following having nihilistic misanthrope as a sign of her love for own chakras, and another to find the perfect recipe for alien Laksa, to win thy heart, and another to locate the rumoured dagger made out of the same material as the Artifacts.... so she can cut herself with it, and dry the bloody blade under the sacred suns of some twin star planet she heard about, to give to you as a commitment gift, so you will always have the nectar of her heart close to hand, to show her eternal bleeding love :P
That is who she is.... and that cannot happen if the effing DIES.... I had no idea!!!!!!
The original voice actor has a YouTube channel where they do Starfield stuff (I don't know too much; I only saw one video). They said they would voice her again, even if it were a mod. The YouTube channel is NPCMuria, I think.
One step closer to the dream..... but not one I can make happen.... as a middle aged bloke from the outback, who knows about as much about modding, coding, etc, as I do about nuclear medicine (but I know a lot about grounds keeping, pipe clearing, and taking cleaning at Sewage Treatment plants, if some one wants to make a working toilet mod :P ).... but I live in hope now, hearing that.... and of course... knowing I have this mod close to hand if she starts dying in my game before then :P
Can't find her anywhere so I guess she must've died and then her body despawned at some point already without me even noticing. Oh well, guess something for NG+ or another save.
Edit: Nevermind. Just saw her sitting in GalBank on the couch once, before vanishing again. So she's still alive, just mostly MIA.
is there a quest or something related to her? all i've ever been able to do is talk to her a bit and that's the end of it. like many other named npcs in NA
