Don't wish to demand of you but can you do texture fixes on landmarks on Earth? Because what Bethesda did to the Pyramids in Giza is downright disrespectful. Those Goliaths have been here for between 7000-10000 years and they really believe they'll fall apart now? After only 300 years? Bethesda transgressions against the Pyramids must be corrected!! Also... The Lynx? Where the hell did that go? They used NASA pictures to get the geology and image of the moon and other planets in our solar system correct but couldn't figure out our own planet? WTF!!! How is a hollow tower in London going to end up being in better shape than the Pyramids?! Maybe create a landmark in Rockville, Maryland of the Bethesda HQ. Instead of a landmark though just make the whole area look bugged and glitchy because thats the only thing people will remember of Bethesda. Pieces of shits... f*#@ing with the Pyramids like that...
I know your comment is old but if it upsets you THIS much then make your own pyramid replacer now that CK is out. (I agree though, BGS fucked up bad with Earth)
If the atmosphere was stripped from the earth then everything on earth would become perfectly preserved and last until continental drift sucks them under the crust, an earthquake knocks down some buildings, or volcanos cover things in lava. No atmosphere so no wind to cover things in dust and no oxygen to rot things away... more looking like FO4 except there would be mummies instead of skeletons really. What Bethesda did was just stupid.
THE SUPPORT FOR THE GREATER FORM OF DROUGHT WILL BE DONE BY THE MAJORITY AND THE LESSER FORM (OBVIOUS FORM) WILL MATERIALIZE. BARREN BREEDS BARREN :-)=
That's exactly right. However, in real-life it would take millions or even billions of years for that transformation, not just hundreds of years like in the game. But then again, it's all fictional and based on a gravity anomaly so... :D
I'd think that with the atmosphere gone the oceans would freeze like Europa, not boil away completely. My first thought was that there could even still be life clustered around volcanic vents at the bottom of the frozen oceans, but that depends on geological activity beneath the surface which would have to cease entirely for us to lose our magnetic field.
Nah, it would be just like Mars. Earth and Mars are so close to the sun that all surface water boil away without an atmosphere. Europa is much further away, has a induced magnetic field (which protect against solar winds) through interaction with Jupiter's and additionally a very thin atmosphere. All of that help with retaining the water on the surface.
I searched as I want to build my home in the uk, but looking at the original map texture the only type of realism was the country of brazil, Argentina and Peru.. the rest of the map is random. So I just plopped good old uk and Ireland on the map lol.
This is definitely a welcome mod for the early days of Starfield's release. But I really cannot wait to see mods develop to the point that Earth gets a true, proper overhaul that adds a LOT more to the otherwise boring, barren planet. More landmarks, details, easter eggs, anything and everything that makes voyaging to and surveying the planet of Earth much more worth it.
One of the mods I'm sort of planning is going to have a pseudo commie faction, along with it I'm planning for them to send you to the Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics in the ruins of Moscow. They have a load of space suits, including one designed for the never completed Soviet moonlanding.
That sounds like a bloody good idea and something I'd love to play! If you know how to texture models I can help you design 3d assets. I heard of something like .... something university allows you to texture them?. I've already made a 3D model of a prototype hilt of a lightsaber for Starfield but that's as far as I've got.. but if there are people that want help, I can help model accessory assets and everyday stuff.. just need someone familiar with texturing.
