This just keeps getting better beyond my wildest expectations. I'm not hearing inane dialogue from the Ryujin guards, like "You better not cause any trouble!" even after I've become senior operative. And I don't hear the stupid lines from the eternal Ryujin customers. "I've been waiting here forever!" Yes, nameless customer, you will be rooted in place FOREVER, but at least I don't have to hear you anymore.
You need to add an image of God Howard crying tears, because we've escaped the endless guards spamming side quests on us. I haven't found any instances where this mod doesn't work. This is the mod we all need.
I'll install it before my next game. Please tell me I won't ever have to hear "Yumi" ever again with this mod.
Update: i installed this mid-game and it's absolute heaven! I was afraid I'd still hear the quest spam in Neon because you're crammed next to them in the narrow walkways, but it worked.
BTW, the way to get rid of that intrusive tracker mod is to use "The Trackers Alliance Delayed Start". Although the title says "delayed", there is an option to tweak it so it effectively NEVER starts, if that's what you want.
I have a question about the Mantis quest. Does this alter the drop of the quest slate from spacer NPCs? or do I need to just head to the planet? Tank you for your time and your work.
Thats awesome. Agd25 has a similar mod that silences some quests, which made me scratch my head to understand this latest update until I realized I had both mods. Ill try loading yours underneath to see how it handles these quest starts differently (the ryujin terminal was specially aggravating to me before I downloaded agd25's solution).
Thats alright lol, and Im a sucker to remember mods names 9 out of 10 times.
I use both and they compliment each other very well. I was just thinking outloud how your implementation in this update probably handles these quests differently from agd25's, obviously you dont need to guess which mod Im talking about. It was a rhetorical statement.
In any case, Im a big fan of this mod and have it in my load order from the first day it dropped, so thanks for all your efforts.
No. That's what the mod changes, actually. Walking by the talking kiosk no longer triggers the quest. You have to actually send Ryujin your application (thus actively pursuing it) in order for the quest to become visible on your log.
I'm using this on xbox. I walked through city on a new save...not a damn person pestered me. No forced quests. You're a God send. Now all I need to make my game perfect is an enhance option for all npc's to change their appearance and something that hides poi's when I'm out exploring planets. I like being surprised by what I find. Not have pop ups the moment I land.
As for the hidden POIs, you're in luck: there's this mod! Unfortunately, it's only for PC at the moment. But I'll ask the author if she could port it to Xbox.
I spoke to soon. I went to Cydonia...was hit with trevor quest. The modder you speak of has not been active for a long time. I used the mod before my pc died and it worked. But does me no good on xbox unless someone ports it.
Yeah, Red Tape Blues can’t be avoided since it’s not actually Trevor talking to you, but two unemployed miners. The quest starts when their conversation ends.
Again, this mod only alters NPCs greeting you. It leaves scripted scenes like that untouched for stability/compatibility.

You would think they would know about this and actually stop this from happening.
The guy who coded in the 2.5 must have known it was too much but probably though 'meh it is friday' and just hit save.
Bethesda can be frustrating.
I guess load lower whichever one you like more, between the two.
