Jodi has asked for Summer Meals on Wheels and will not accept the blueberry tarts as part of the quest to turn in. She only says thank you for a gift of the day. We have tried this for 3 days now. Any help?

goddamnit it's the context tags again :') looks like the quest was looking for blueberry pie instead of tart /o\ that should be fixed now - if you redownload the mod, replace the files and sleep a night in game, jodi should accept blueberry tart. if not, you may need to let the quest expire and pick it up next time

Hey, there's an issue with "Marlon's Ball Invites." It was available Winter, Year 1, but requires two (spoiler) people that were not available at the time. I could understand the one that unlocks after a major game event as that could be done year 1, but the other NPC doesn't show up until after the season would be over. Is there a way to either limit this special order to year 2, when it's likely both NPC's are available, or not require these specific NPC's if it'll stay available for year 1?

This is a fun excuse to make food!
I would've loved to walk in on Abigail's movie night though. Any chance of making events for some of these later?
And I will just let you know that you need MFM to send rings through the mail: if you do them in the CP manner, it delivers a ring, yes, but you cannot wear it. Code puts it as an object, not a ring. Same thing happens if you gift them through dialogue, sadly.

Would this work with mods that add foods? Would the NPC request foods from the mods? I'm using the PPJA mods & For the Love of Cooking.
    Thanks XD

This only works with vanilla foods at the moment, and the special orders will only be from vanilla NPCs. :)

Would there be any way to do this? It would give alot of meaning to learning recipe's and actually cooking XD. Thanks

In theory it would be easy - you would just need to write a patch that overwrites the cost of PPJA recipies, and then write new special orders to /Data/SpecialOrders and /Strings/SpecialOrderStrings.

The problem is, the Special Orders scripting doesn't accept item IDs at all, so referring to the new JSON items will likely not work. I'd have to look further into JSON Assets , but I think that's a no-go without a custom special order framework.

PPJA recipies are not written to Stardew's original code, but rather is loaded separately in JSON Assets, so patching them is harder. The only way I know of to patch it would be to edit the code directly. That I know is possible, since the recipe data is stored in JSON files, but uploading the changes to this mod would require me to replicate the code in its entirety, which for obvious reasons I'm 100% not going to be doing.

If you open the PPJA object JSONs, the price is clearly noted, so if you'd like to change the price for your own personal use that should be easy enough. You'll just have to do your own math :D

Hm, I'm not so sure about not being able to buy a million pizzas to butter up Shane so he'll got from grouchy to confused why you like him sooner. But I do like cooking and quests.

Maybe this would be best paired with mods that add a kitchen to the level 1 house?

Though that would not solve the pizza problem unless it was used with a mod that added animal products to the shops. Though that would make things easier for people looking to get really far ahead in their recipes without doing the other activities that gate its progress (so would more recipes sooner now that I think about it). Or decide they want to be a chef with a really big yard, not a cattle rancher.

shane's got expensive taste now :')

it depends how you'd want to play the game - i designed this really for vanilla early-midgame, where you've got the first house upgrade and maybe a barn or coop, but can't quite afford the more pricey buildings and would like some additional revenue.

it would also go well with a level one house kitchen mod - that would make it much easier to get  a decent amount of money early on. although you may just be selling bean hotpot forever until you get a barn and milk to make parsnip soup. :')

Hey! When it comes to the kitchen, you can add a condition so that the special orders only show up once players have the necessary farmhouse upgrade, or are using specific mods that add a kitchen to the first house. I created a dynamic token called PlayerHasKitchen just for that for my mod Townies Need Food, so you could reference that here if you're interested in implementing something like it for your mod! That link is directly to the dynamic token. From there you can use it as a condition; see an example here.
