For anybody wondering, Extra Map Layers is automatically disabled by SMAPI as of v. 4.0.2. If a mod has it as a dependency, that dependency is removed. You can now safely remove this.

Every mod in my list that required this mod and that has updated to 1.6 has removed its dependency on this mod, which suggests that it's likely obsolete.
If that's the case, then thank you for all your work, aedenthorn, you've done us all a great service. o7 And if it's not obsolete then, at the very least, the updated mods will work without this one for now.
This mod renders certain areas inaccessible due to the layers of objects that barricade you.
It also creates layers of objects that would normally be interactive with the players tools (axe for trees, pick for boulders for example), but the objects merely serve as a wall that your tools phase through when trying to strike it.
Hi there! I'm not entirely sure if this is the right place to ask - but a lot of overlapping items (such as a book placed on a table, or a decor placed on a fence) flicker in my game. It's the same issue for both original game locations and expansion mods. I wonder if something in this mod doesn't work out for me, or there are some mods that clash with this one? Please help :)

Some of my old mods used this, just want to make sure i'm not doomed.

I am not sure why but this mod wont allow me to dig up artifacts spots
