Sorry, I had a problem: when the game entered winter, I found that Leah's drawing was still the original drawing, not the mod's. I tried to overwrite the file again but it didn't solve the problem.sad.
because that villager's winter drawing is new updated content in stardew valley ,but this mod was 2017 so the mod maker just painted the old portraits sorry for my poor English imchinese
Is it just me or does Abigail seem more male like in this portrait? It's not a big complaint, i love this pack just ...Abigail (one i married on main character) sticks out to me. Just a thought. If theres an alternate version I'd be interested!
Maybe it's just me, but the mod isn't working correctly on my computer... It's not working for shane's portrait, the high-res version isn't working no matter how many times I press "P", and during certain festivals the portraits go back to their default. Help :( :(
Looks cool! Too bad this was made obsolete(ish?) since DCBurger uploaded the HI-Res version of their mod. But if you want the sharper pixel-y art, you can still use this!
Thank you for appreciating my efforts! I looked on the overhaul you mentioned and I pass. The Portraits don't need a recolor to fit in this overhaul. They need a decolor to drearily. I don't want my game bleak and depressing, I like it friendly, colorful and bright. And I would only mod something, I enjoy myself.
Hmm, I agree with previous comment. I do feel the original was quite fine and charming as it is. But anyway, thumbs up and hats off to you for having patience and dedication to edit each and every one of the portraits! That must have taken you quite a lot of time and energy.
Of course the original has been already quite fine and charming. But if I see potential to improve something to fit more my preferences, I have to do it. The artist even mention the problem: "Please note that it's pixelated illust rather than pixel art, so it would look blurry in fullscreen." - I have only tried to make it more like pixel art. And yes, for this task I had to remove the softness and use stronger colors. The whole style of the game is with strong colors, contrast and pixel.
maybe I have wasted my weekend only for my own enjoyment :D
Oh god, I'm so sorry if what I said was discouraging you, that was not the intended message >< But I'm sure your weekend wasn't wasted! Just take a look at the amount of people who are downloading
I think it is fine ^^ I prefered the original but dont be discouraged. I am sure there are other people who will prefer this way. Kudos to you for going out there and posting it. Sorry for the confusion on my part!
Just as a warning in the future though make sure to post you had permission on the front >3< people get really upset over thieves, even when its obvious you havent, its just easier to see on the front of a mod whether you had permission or not aaa
I'm not discouraged, because of someone having another taste, a much smaller monitor or other visual cognition! :D
Sheepy, your wording in your permission warning stuff worry me a bit. I'm sorry, if I go too deep. I would distinguish theft with unauthorized alteration. In your titling is someone who wants to make something from a game better and use for this resource from others without permission equally worse like someone earns money selling the work others. I personally respect the rules. But I, as a programmer, know the strengths of open source software. I believe, that a strong modding community is based on open source, helping other modder, writing guides, providing api's etc. If you mix law with it, s#*! goes fancy. I mean, the characters used for this mod are created by ConcernedApe. The mod has to be under fair use anyway. You can't claim copyright using another character's. You can't sell fanart. The whole property obsession on fan modifications on games don't help anyone. ... Sigh. Sorry, that I needed to talk this off. Anyway, thank you!

Btw could I persuade you to create recolors
of this for the star grime overhaul mod?
