okay, for everyone wondering, this DOES work in 1.6 without having to resize the portraits. you need portraiture. then you have two options. if you don't care about making the seasonal portraits work, just pick your favorite and put it in a new folder in the Portraiture/Portraits folder. rename your image to Olivia.png
if you do want seasonal portraits, you need to create different folders for all the seasons/festivals. so Portraiture/Portraits/Spring, Portraiture/Portraits/Winter, etc. then put the corresponding portraits into that folder, renamed to Olivia.png. for example, Olivia_Winter_Outdoor.png would go in the Winter folder, and then you would rename that to Olivia.png. I recommend ignoring the indoor/outdoor stuff and just choosing whichever you like better because otherwise you have to change it manually and it gets really annoying.
you're pretty much done after that! boot up the game, talk to Olivia, and then keep pressing P (or whatever keybind you have for portraiture) until it matches the season. feel free to respond if you have questions and i will do my best to help <3
Wait for HD Portraits update, you can use it by replace the flie but anime will show abnormal size, you can resize the potraits to half if you can stand it
Save yourself a few hours and please just resize the portraits to 128*320... I wasted too much time trying to find workarounds to not use PYTK, I tried HD portraits, Portraiture(don't support Seasonal Outfit mod), HD Portrait Patcher(too hard for me to use but it might work).
If you're using PYTK, don't use the lite version because it wouldn't work, use the "PyTK - Platonymous Toolkit 1.23.2"
I used a lot of methods to fix the problem that the portrait was too large after the replacement, reinstall the mod, or reinstall the pytk, it didn't work, and finally it was successfully solved by replacing the portrait pixel 256*640 with 128*320, I left a message to help see if I could help some people solve the problem, and then I found this method in a comment very early, so I made a re-release.(This is my use of machine translation, and it may not be in place, but I'm sure you can understand it.)
I have a problem, Content Patcher says "Can't apply image patch "Seasonal Cute Characters SVE > Portraits regular outdoor and season (Portraits/Olivia)" to Portraits/Olivia: target area (X:0, Y:0, Width:128, Height:320) extends past the right edge of the image (Width:64), which isn't allowed. Patches can only extend the tilesheet downwards."
I replaced everything correctly, and I've tried both versions of Pytk..
I have same problem.I change PyTL lite to Toolkit version and the problem is handled.I think you installed both of PyTL vesion.Try to Uninstall tje Lite version noly leave Toolkit version in mods folder.
Thank you very much. I have perfectly solved the same problem I encountered as per your prompt. Originally, it was caused by a version download error. By changing it to the Toolkit version in the optional file, I can play the game normally
for those who get error in the newest version of other mods, u should place the game file into the correct folder (if u r confused just check the sophia mod location)
[CP] Seasonal Cute Characters - SVE folder should be changed to [CP] Seasonal Cute Characters SVE
also u need to place
[CP] Stardew Valley Expanded in the right folder which is in Stardew Valley Expanded file now
If u got error like manifest.json not found its likely tht u placing the mod in the wrong folder
