For some reason the refined portrait of Sebastian doesn't work for me, I'm sure I installed the mod correctly but Seb's portrait remains the same, think anyone could help me?
I like this version of Elliot a lot, but I have other mods for Alex and Shane, so I can't use this mod exclusively for Elliot. Can you please upload Elliot's mod separately, like you did for the other guys? It would be appreciated!
Pardon me but, I constantly rename mods to easier to understand names with the author name so i can look it up again if i need to, some people label and pack them better than others, but i must say, this one was particularly bad. ;-; As someone who works with A LOT of mods, people that label and pack mods good are like gods, and people that label and pack vuagely make me spend more time backtracking - use the 'go to download page' of a file (because i cant tell where it came from or what piece/version of a mod it is) a lot, especially with "optional download"s files. (ie. Download file says 'Hotfix-903497' instead of 'Radovid Dialouge fix - Hotfix', or 'Harvey' and 'harvey' instead of 'Harvey - Mustache' and 'Harvey - Shaven' from the same download page)
I have organised my version of these files as: Portrait Tweaks by Chrys - Alex Tweak (by Chrysanthe) Elliott Edit (by Chrysanthe) Harvey Tweak (by Chrysanthe) Harvey Tweak 2 - YoungSlim NoMustache Sebby Tweak (by Chrysanthe) Shane Tweak (by Chrysanthe) Shane Tweak 2 - New DefineHair&ShirtShading (Each having the seemingly overused -by Chrys- because i intend to have these sub-folders loose in my portraits folder for modular use) (There are also Pictures loose in my portraits folder under the same names as^ to represent the changes that i can easily compare to other 'Harvey (by _)' mods) Simple and neat don't you think? It would be wonderful to have downloaded one main folder here and see that^. :D? I hope this informs an inspires you.
Hello, I was just wondering if you had any plans to make the main mod file compatible with Content Patcher? I'm really interested in using it but don't feel entirely comfortable overwriting gamefiles... In any case, great job on all of it, it looks a million times better than the in-game portraits ^^
Update: Managed to create a content.json and manifest.json from the ones included in the Sebastian download for use with Content Patcher. So far it seems to be working perfectly :)
No, you shouldn't have to. Which portrait are you trying to use? Harvey, Elliott, Alex, Shane are xnb mods and need to replace existing files in Content/Portraits.
Sebastian's Portrait file is compatible with SMAPI & CP but you can also take the .xnb file (in the zip file) and replace the existing file manually.
I installed this mod and was very excited but it messed up the character sprites. It's just a chunk of their portrait that's glitched out as their game sprite, how do I resolve this?
Hi, I just installed this and had the same problem, read the description carefully and realized I had to replace the character portrait nOt the character. Make sure to make backups or move the original files just in case, I just renamed mine to Harvey_backup.xnb, etc. Download the files, unzip them, make your backups and drag the xnb files into the Portraits folder in the content folder. Hopefully this helps!
