Hate to necro this, but this mod solves a very niche problem with SMAPI that most people don't think about it seems, and that is splitscreen multiplayer. People constantly talk about remapping buttons on the controller to Keyboard/Mouse things, but that doesn't work for the second player and can actually completely bunk their inputs.
Anyway, after that was all said and done, the biggest issue is the same one deleted103812448 mentioned, the mod causes the game not to read these buttons if they are held down, this makes mapping multi-key things to mods nigh impossible (unless you have near perfect button mashing timing). Anyway, this mod is obviously not cared about but if anyone knows a fix, a replacement mod, or something else to solve my issue, I would love to have it. If the mod author does see this, you can help a lot of players that are in a niche category of playing modded SDV, if you can fix this one minor issue.
Edit: Just read through the GitHub and I'm a moron, seems this issue was known and the problem must be fixed on the other mod's end. This is sad news then, unless there is a workaround to fix this issue because too many mods ignore the use of controller with the assumption that most people play singleplayer or online multiplayer and therefore don't have conflicts with using two controllers. I guess I'll continue to try and work this out third party...
Is this something that can be fixed/implemented. Trying to remap keys for Stardew Druid, which requires a button to be held down in order to cast spells. Otherwise great mod, thanks.
hello! is this still being updated? because currently in v1.5.6, when a button is suppressed, any mod buttons will also be suppressed.
let's say I have Y (suppressed) and I want to change it to using the lookup anything.. Now it just disables the button entirely and no matter how many times I retry or reopen the game, the button is entirely suppressed.. thank you for this though.. since I feel like the intended use of this mod is really great.. it's just not working at the moment..
Curious about this mod. I've been playing with joycons (since my other controller broke) and wondering if it'd work with those.
Also, my main intention in looking up this mod is that I want to be able to not have keybindings that use letters get triggered when typing in menus. For ex., I use "z/x" for ZoomLevel and whenever I type either letter in any of the search bar or naming menus it zooms in or out respectively. However, other mods, like CJB Cheats/Spawner will not trigger in these scenarios; I can hit "p" or "i" any time but the CJB menus will only pop up when I'm on the main game screen. I hope this makes sense! (Might be due to the mods/their set-ups but maybe you could help me find a solution.) HNY!

edit: apparently cant permanently suppress the RightThumbstickDown, RightThumbstickLeft, RightThumbstickRight, RightThumbstickUp
This in SuppressOnlyWhenPlayerFree and xpadder is everything I ever wanted in a controller though, so thank you so much.
