Changing the keybind to ControllerA works for me, but how did you know that was the correct keybind? I'm trying to rebind some other mods but I don't know what the keybinds are or the language (for instance, to rebind to Dpad Up)
I know this mod is a bit discontinued but, I've been using it for as long as I can remember and until recently it started throwing an error. Pressing CTRL during an event or cinematic skips it, completely removing the before said. Solutions?
None directly, or at least don't record any in the registry. But as I say, pressing CTRL during an event skips it. I don't know if it's an incompatibility, but it's almost definitely this mod...
all it does is give the player a speed buff, and since the player isn't meant to have buffs in cutscenes, perhaps that is causing it. i can look at a workaround if you like
Yes, I thought the same. Since I use it so much, it's almost instinctive to want to run a little faster even though I know that in an event it's not possible, but before I did it and nothing happened, unlike now. If you can see a solution, I'd really appreciate it, but if not, there's no big problem, I'd just have to stop using it...
I'm on 1.5.4. Turn out to be incompatible with Food Buff Stacking mod. Due to how Food Buff Stacking works (e.g keeping the highest buff value), Duration of Magic Rock Candy (Food) and Coffees (Drinks) are overwrite by the speed buff from sprinting ( From minutes to 0:00 ). Speed buff from Another Hunger mod or riding Tractor speed buff are not overwrite by sprint mod (their speed buff icons are still up after sprinting).
Another thought. If the stamina drain config setting could be a floating point value. The thinking here is with a +2 buff we have basically a 2/5 speed increase over default. So a 1.4 drain is proportional. 1 just seems a little low to me.
you don't lose 1 unless you have max stats. with all stats at level 0 you'll lose 6 (?) i think. i'll think about the floating point drain, but i don't exactly see how we could accomplish this because the stamina value in game is an integer
I have only tested these sprint mods on a v1.5 perfection save. Therefore I am at max stats in my test case.
By "these" I mean your mod and the Sprint and Dash Redux mod. (which has source, that I have briefly examined)
That mod directly subtracts the value the user sets up (+winded feature of course). No stats considered.
>...with all stats at level 0 you'll lose 6 (?) i think
Interesting and ouch (...6). Again I would not have seen this given my limited testing as prev stated. Of course the ouch may be quite suitable/appropriate in design (consistent with other stats/level based energy consumption). Given that consumption goes up from the base value, then the value one is quite good in your config.

My comments are directly related to the wiki info and reading Speed and Dash redux source. Forgive me for not directly knowing spit.
The wiki talks about energy in decimal/float structure. Pickaxe is 2 energy per use at start and .1 less per level thereafter. The stored stamina value may be integer but there appears to be an intermediate accumulator which is floating point. This is of course truncated at the time of subtraction from the saved/stored stamina/energy value which may be integer. Speed and Dash redux also appears to have such a floating point accumulator. Hetero expressions in the language limits my visibility without more investigation than I have done to this point. Sorry if I am out of bounds here.
 thanks for your comments. i'll take the decimal idea into consideration, though i don't know how it will pan out. also, yes. 6 is an 'ouch' value. it is supposed to discourage you from overusing the sprint function all the time. obviously as your skills increase, the energy drain decreases and sprinting more often is more manageable.

Edit: There's already support. Just add ControllerA in config. :)
