Hey everyone, I emailed Pumpkinium and while they have no plans to update the mod at this time, they helped me get it working again! Here's what you need to do: > Open your mods folder and find the folder "[CP] Emet-Selch" > Open the file manifest.json with a program that can edit it, such as Notepad ++ > At the bottom, you will see this: "Dependencies": [ { "UniqueID": "Pathoschild.ContentPatcher", "UniqueID": "Platonymous.Toolkit", "UniqueID": "Platonymous.TMXLoader", "UniqueID": "Platonymous.CustomMusic" }
>Highlight and delete the last three "UniqueID" lines (all the Platonymous stuff) AND the comma at the end of the line above after ContentPatcher >Save and Close >Open your game and SMAPI should no longer disable the mod. >Open your save and go find your grumpy sorcerer of eld <3
This does get rid of the lovely music that played and Emet is still not updated to say anything new for the new content, but it will let you use the mod again! I haven't run into any bugs with him doing this, but it is just a work around, not an actual fix or update. I am not at all familiar with mod creation in this game, otherwise I would offer more help than this, but I hope this is still enough for some Emet Enjoyers to get this mod back up and running again. i tried this but SMAPI still won't run the mod :( i made sure to delete the comma and the Platonymous stuff but it still doesn't work. Is there something else i need to do?
Sorry I didn't see this sooner, I just came back to check in on this mod. Can you copy or send a screenshot of what the error looks like in SMAPI? When I was fiddling around with it trying to get it running, SMAPI gave me errors under a section called "Skipped mods" which helped me narrow down what was causing the hangup.
This is by far my favourite mod ever and I really need my grumpy man back!! I refuse to play 1.6 till I can get your precious mod to work again so I'll try to be patient while you figure things out!! Just know that I'm madly in love with the work you've done <3 Remember us, remember that we Emet simps are here and shall wait... xD
Hey everyone! This is Rox again, the person who did the most recent update. I have...not been keeping up and trying to learn how to do bug fixes like I said I would, and I deeply apologize for that. I don't have any good excuses, save maybe for being EXTREMELY intimidated! That being said, I'm very excited about 1.6, and I want to do what I can to update this mod for compatibility. I can't promise a timeline, because I'll be completely honest, I don't have the faintest idea what I'm doing. Thankfully, I know the SDV modding community has put out a number of wonderful guides and resources for mod makers already, so hopefully that can smooth my progress along. Please wish me luck, and I'll try to update as I am able! Hopefully I can also fix the bugs that have been brought up since the last update as well....or I can create a pile of new ones. Time will tell.

omg I just went through and updated a ton of my mods trying to figure out which one would make Emet show up again, only to hop on here and realize that you're right it probably is the update huh :(
There is currently a version mismatch between what's listed on Nexus (what SMAPI checks) and the files themselves. This issue is harmless; it can be ignored and will not impact your game in any way if you see it.
If you want to fix it, you can go into the folder for the mod -- [CP] Emet-Selch (make sure you aren't looking in [CM] Emet-Selch) and open the manifest.json file with a text editor. Change it there, and you'll no longer get the notification. (Make sure you come here to check for updates if you do this!)
Again though, the 'can be updated' thing is harmless and will cause no problems.
i absolutely adore this mod, emet-selch is my favorite ffxiv character! i was just curious as to whether or not you're able to have children with him like any other marriage NPC!
Well first of all I. love. this. mod. is my favorite romance, and second I have a problem, like I finished the game (reach perfection) and at the top of the mountain, well there is no dialog such as "SummitEvent_Dialogue3_Wizar" I need to update something? or is a bug??
I'm not putting this in bugs, as it doesn't seem to be messing up my game in any way, but his spouse room showed up the day I proposed to him. Gave me a bit of a startle.
