For those wondering how to make this mod works, go to the mod options in the game and select which dog you want to replace there. Dog is the staffy (maybe golden?) looking one, Dog1 is the german shepherd and Dog2 the Beagle looking one. You select the dog that you have, and then select the options to replace him (Fluffy, White for the Samoyed for example).
I think for this to work this way you need Content Patcher.
so, after downloading this file and placed it in the mods folder with content patcher, the pets that i can choose from the starting menu where we edit our character and name and pick my farm is still the same. What should i do now?
How does this mod works btw.... do we pick it at the beginning or what?
Thank you so so much for making this mod!!! My baby is an American Eskimo named Moonlight and I can't even start thinking about having other dogs than him. Your model is so cute and resembled him perfectly!!!
Hi does anyone happen to have an explanation how to use this mod? I can't seem to figure it out, when I load the game there's only options for the base game dogs and cats.
Hey, I have the same problem. The mod is running and up to date according to my mod update menu, but the dogs option is still default. Can somebody help? I really want the cute dogos :)
Hello! Make sure you select which vanilla dog you want to replace in the config menu as well!
I think this is the mapping I used: "dog" (https://stardewvalleywiki.com/File:Dog_1.png) "dog1" (https://stardewvalleywiki.com/File:Dog_2.png) "dog2" (https://stardewvalleywiki.com/File:Dog_3.png)
Like others here, I have no idea how to get to the config menu. I have tried looking it up and I'm only finding stuff about the GenericModConfigMenu mod. I don't know how to do it for Content Patcher. Please help.
Okay, I'm not a beginner to all of this but even I got a bit stuck since the description didn't actually give any clues. But I have figured out what may be the problem, when you download it you will see that it's not a folder nor a package file, so you can't interact with it. How I changed this was I changed it into a RAR file and then using a 7-Zip File Manager (Which you can download for free and it's super safe) you can extract it and it will change into a folder, you would then go into the file and find the config file (This will only show when you have played the game with the actual mod in your game!), you should open this using your notepad. I hope that makes sense!
Hi, I have installed this mod and on the game start up settings it says it's there and I selected my options for which dog I want (Shiba). But then when I go on the game, the dog still looks like it's default?? What am I doing wrong? Sorry I'm new to mods.
