   this was one of the very first thoughts i had when the game came out, i even spent 2 irl days trying to figure out if there was a secret way to free him, if you want to fix the festival issue why not make part of the fence into two gates? just a small thought, if you can get in perhaps walking into the doghouse could reveal a tiny under ground doggy mansion? like Alex secretly dug it out for him

   The only issues I have found with this is, (1) during the fall festival, the animal pen makes it impossible to get by and talk to a few of the characters and (2) I once had a forageable item show up in Dusty's area that I couldn't get to. Neither of these were game breaking issues to me. Love the mod.

      Thank you very much for telling me and I'm glad neither of those issues stopped you from using the mod ^^'.
      I actually revisited a couple of the files after I read your post and.....yeah sorry I have no idea ho to fix it....
