Island Gatherers is a mod for Stardew Valley that adds a way for Parrots to harvest crops from Ginger Island.
The mod adds a new purchasable item called the Parrot Pot, which can be purchased from the Island Trader at Ginger Island.
This item can only be placed on the Island Farm area.
Once placed, the Parrots will appear each morning and immediately harvest all available crops, forage products and fruit trees within the area. Right clicking the Parrot Pot will open up a chest-like inventory, allowing you to extract the harvested items.
Install
1. Install the latest version of SMAPI.
2. Install all the dependencies.
3. Install this mod.
4. The IslandGatherersAutomate is optional unless you're using the Automate mod.
5. Run the game using SMAPI.
Unlocking the Parrot Pot
To unlock the Parrot Pot, you must finish repairing the Ginger Island farm house.

The Parrot Pot requires the following ingredients:
Using the Parrot Pot
Once per morning, the Parrots will search the surrounding area. The Parrots will gather crops, forage products and fruit trees that are ready for harvesting.
If the Parrots successfully harvested anything, you will get a message in the morning letting you know. The Parrot Pot will also have an updated sprite, showing that it contains items.
Right clicking the Parrot Pot will open up a chest-like inventory, allowing you to extract the harvested items.
Note that if the Parrot Pot gets full, the Parrots will eat any excess products they gather! This can disabled within the config if you so wish.
Replanting
While harvesting the Parrots will replant any non-renewing crops, so long as the Parrot Pot contains the matching seeds.
e.g. If the Parrots harvest a parsnip, they will look inside the Parrot Pot for a parsnip seed. If there is at least one, they will use it to replant the harvested parsnip.
If you'd like to disable this behavior, set DoParrotsSowSeedsAfterHarvest in the config.json to false or use GMCM.
Configurations
This mod creates a config.json under the ...\IslandGatherers\IslandGatherers folder. It contains options that you can modify to change how Island Gatherers interacts with the game.
This mod also supports Generic Mod Config Menu.
Expanded Storage
If you are using Expanded Storage, you can edit the size / capacity of the Parrot Pots by editing the expanded-storage.json file under the ...\IslandGatherers\IslandGatherers\assets\[JA] Island Gatherers Pack folder.
