What does this mod do? Is it a replacement for the default cat? Or is it a new NPC that lives alongside the game cat? I do not use adopt n skin, since I prefer to play in multiplayer. It'd be nice if she was an NPC, it'd be an instant download from me and there aren't enough animal npc mods (I think Mr Ginger is the only one?).

One of the true cat behaviors that Sona has displayed is making a bunch more cats... As there is no vet (that I know of) in Stardew Valley, Sona has retained the aforementioned ability to replicate to a startling degree. It seemed like every 2 or 3 ingame days, another cat (all named "Cat") would suddenly appear & make itself at home.
Due to limited space in the beginner cabin, I finally had to remove the Sona mod from my lineup... getting in and out of the door (not to mention in and out of the bed) was getting to be a major confilict due to excess amounts of "Cat" in the way.
Still, even after the emotionally fraught process of removing the Sona's Farm mod, I am left with 5 cats. They seem to have accepted that their replicating days are over and have to be content with no further additions. Still 5 cats all indoors (when it rains) in the one room tiny starter cabin is about 4 cats too many.
To be honest, I truly believe that Sona's wanton behavior is probably due to this mod interacting with my Adopt & Skin mod. Marnie never showed up to give me my first pet (I always choose the cat). Still I got a letter from her about trying to adopt out any strays she comes across.
Unbeknownst to me, Sona must have been in communication with Marnie & let her know that she, Sona, would take care of all necessary cat additions in the future....
Truly, I had no idea how to straighten out the mod interactions, and since I rely on Adopt & Skin to have better looking livestock, I regretfully decided that Sona had to go. I am way too young to become a Crazy Old Cat L:ady.
Other that that teensy problem, I enjoyed the Sona'a Farm mod quite a bit.
Sona does have a very playful attitude and replicating non stop and just like her. I convinced her this needs to stop (bride her with catnip). Next update there will be a command called too_many_sonas that will fix this issue.
Yes Sona is the cat, the creator made it for his gf and not with other in mind so he'll be updating the description now that there's interest. Sona will randomly give you gifts in your cabin (Sona is his cat who plays fetch irl)
