It does not, sorry. I haven't looked very deeply into how the 1.6 update changed how modding shops work, and I don't see myself trying to figure that out anytime soon.
I chose 1000g because that's the highest the traveling cart will sell it for. I didn't make this mod to really make it EASY to get hardwood, just to have a more consistent way of obtaining it in a no-foraging challenge file than praying for the traveling cart. If you want though, it's very easy to open the shops.json document and change the price from 1000 to 500! All you need is a text editor like notepad.
Hmm, I'm not sure why it wouldn't go into effect if you did everything correctly. All you'd need to do would be to change the number of this StockPrice to what you want it to be and save the shops.json and it should change. I don't think this is a mod that would be affected by co-op.
By the way, thank you for this, modder! I appreciate this so much. It's so frustrating how scarce hardwood is in the game (especially since I'm using the Advanced and Custom Cask mod, which requires a lot of hardwood). Thank you!
For those who wanted to, even if it's a little bit "cheaty", edit the daily number of sold hardwood plus the price, you can just change the values in the "shops.json" file.
