(The ss was in 4.0.0 of SMAPI but since updated to 4.0.2) It does seem to work a little because it did show when I got married but I cannot change the seasons, as that was the main reason I was using this mod (As seen with the error).
Sorry this is taking longer than I hoped. I've just been working on an update today and things seem to be mostly working except for the 'viewing future seasons' feature. Hopefully will get it figured out soon!
Oh, that's very nice to know! I was wondering if you plan to add integration with the Happy Birthday mod for the player birthdays? And also, do you plan making this mod open source?
1.6 compatible version uploaded now. Let me know if any issues.
@kanadeyoru I haven't tested the Happy Birthday mod in a while but they did used to be compatibile. That mod adds the player birthday to the calendar and I tried to make it so that both mods added their bits to the calendar without clashing. I would like to release the code at some point but I am scared what people will think :) I want to tidy up first
Hi! I noticed that on the calendar it says my wedding anniversary is on Spring 6, but when I looked at my save info it says my wedding date was on Spring 5. Is this intentional?? I don't remember when it actually was (which is why I downloaded the mod) so I'm a little confused as to which day it is :")
I checked my save game file and it correctly shows my wedding anniversary as being on the 19th. This mod, however, is displaying the anniversary on the calendar as the 20th. So, for some reason, the mod is adding a day.
Hi, yes that is intentional. The date in the save file is the day that triggers the wedding ceremony when you go to bed. The ceremony perhaps exists outside of time.
No, what you are saying is wrong. My actual wedding day was the 19th. Picked it intentionally because I did not want anything else on the calendar besides my anniversary. My save file, also indicates my wedding day was on the 19th. Your mod is adding a day to that number when reading it. Why are you doing that?
So, then your mod only is useful to predict when your wedding day is? Which at that time, I guess, cause at this point there is no way of checking it since my wedding day is over and done with, the save file would have had the 18th in the 3 days prior? But at this time after the wedding, the file shows the correct day which is the 19th for me. If this mod only shows the wedding day and not your following anniversaries, then the mod is useless. You need to change it to Wedding Day Predictor and not an Anniversary mod. I personally want an anniversary mod. Could you please make one and not add days to it?
Hi, you are right. Have just tested it with a new game. I'll add something to the code in the next update that will make it subtract a day from the day that gets added ;)
So this is incredibly awkward, but whatever fix that subtracted the day ended up putting my anniversaries a day before where they were! I can provide my current and 1.5.6 save file (pre-migration to 1.6) to show this is the case, but in the meantime is there anything specific added to the save data that I can use to move the wedding anniversaries forward one day on the calendar? (I'm willing to save edit to fix it, and have some experience doing so if needed, in case this sounds like an odd ask.)
Sorry for the late reply, and for how I handled making that change to the date displayed for the anniversary - obviously that change is going to affect a lot of people with older saves.
Yes, you can update the anniversary day in your save file. The date is stored in <friendshipData> and then under whoever your spouse is (if you scroll down this comment page I sent a screenshot to user KKCHLOE in January 2023). This mod now reads that date value exactly.
Previously it was necessary to add a day to the date in the save file. I'm not sure when the change was made to how the anniversary date is saved, or how to recognise which save files need a day adding to the anniversary date...
The new passive festivals from 1.6 (like the trout festival, desert festival etc) can't be seen on the calendar when using the arrows to check the next/past seasons
The Trout Derby shows up for me! Haven't checked the Desert Festival yet since I started a whole new save where I'm planning to add a lot of mods one by one starting with quality of life mods like this one (...I had 700+ mods in total in my original one haha), so I'm wondering if it's a conflict with another mod?
Will definitely update this if I experience something similar!
The Trout Derby shows for me if I'm currently playing on summer, but if I'm playing on spring, fall or winter and go check the summer calendar it doesn't show. The same logic applies to any other passive festival added on 1.6
FYI, something about this mod broke the portraits from this other one - idk which one is doing anything wrong (could be one or the other or both), but figured I'd mention it for completeness.
