Just a quick comment, nothing against your mod. This mod leads to an event on day 1 as soon as you wake up. As I don't know what all mods there are that add events, I noticed with a mod I have that also starts an event on day one of waking up, it leads to interference and some mess up with the other mods adding day 1 morning events if there are some other than the one I use. A potential thing I think that might improve this mod is an option to change in config that the love at first sight actually happen after introducing yourself to desired partner, as no one else in the area has seen you before that except Robin and Lewis.
Forgive me Who is DF? did I accidentally steal another modders mod? I would feel really bad if I did. I just put this together in an afternoon after I was asked earlier in the day if you could add an NPC and have them move in right away. Not knowing how to do that I came up with this as an alternative to show it could be done. The person who asked me is a beginner modder. After creating the example mod I thought it was worth sharing. I hope you enjoy and DF as well. Again I'm sorry if I stole there mod or Idea. It was never my intention. Much love to all the modding community. And to all the lovers of this great game.
For one thing I don't think you can "steal" someone's mod in the sense your talking about. If two people hit on the same idea then more the merrier. They'll just diverge out and find a sub-niche anyway.
DF was a youtuber who did an extreme amount of SDV content back in the day, before branching out into other games. He's infamous for doing things to see if he could, often breaking games in the process. That and being oddly hyper capable at min maxing the s#*! out of his playthroughs of just about anything
He was also infamous for being so casually and flippantly callous towards the characters of whatever he's playing. Yet somehow also being impossible to hate? Which may have been why he took mercy on Valley residents and moved on to games like Kill it With Fire. (which is more inline with his playstyle)
So the actual reference was to the fact he married and divorced people so often that he was always skipping the wedding ceremony. Then I learned you were shortening the relationship build up not the ceremony, which he also would have loved.
Does this make any sense? Basically it was a reference to this guy who was well known in the fandom for awhile.
omg i love DF !! he would've loved this mod, and he still would if he ended up picking it back up again. his stared videos are my favs, i never bothered to watch his other content. A++ youtuber and human.
