    I just released an EXPERIMENTAL build that adds global grabber functionality. You can find it under the optional files. Details below:

    Global Grabber (EXPERIMENTAL)
    You can choose to download the "DeluxeGrabberRedux_GlobalGrabber_EXPERIMENTAL" optional file instead of the main mod build, which contains a mostly-experimental feature to set a global auto grabber. Usage instructions:

    • Place an auto grabber anywhere on the ground in any map.
    • Hover your mouse cursor over the auto grabber, and press the "G" key.
    • If successful, you should receive an HUD message that says that the global grabber has been set. It will immediately attempt to grab every item from every location in the game.
    • If you want to set another auto grabber as the global grabber, repeat the above steps on another grabber.
    • If you press "G" on a grabber that is already a global grabber, the mod will "unset" it and it will no longer act as the global grabber. The "G" key acts as a toggle.
    • Global grabber details: harvest crop range settings will be completely ignored, so everything in every location will be harvested (though settings to ignore certain types of forage will still be respected). EVERY location will be grabbed, including the ones you do not have access to currently (Ginger Island, mod-specific new locations, Secret Woods, etc).
    • This setting is part of your save file, so you will need to set a global grabber (if you wish) on any save game you have (and go to sleep so that the settings are actually saved along with your game data).
    • Note that the global grabber setting is all-or-nothing. If you set a global grabber, every other grabber that you have placed will no longer function (excluding the ones in the Barn and Coop as the base game takes care of those). Unsetting the global grabber will restore functionality to other grabbers.

    Please do me a favor and help test this out if you're interested! Let me know what breaks and what feels off usability-wise.

      A small suggestion.
      If global grabbing is problematic (because of areas like Ginger Island), then maybe some kind of sub-global grabbing would be better idea.

      For example:
      - grabber placed on farm, could be limited to all Town areas (farm, town, mountains, backwoods, secret woods, etc );
      - grabber placed on island, could be limited to all Island maps (west, east, north, etc);
      - grabber placed on desert, could be limited only to desert map;

      This would fix the "not have access" issue (IMHO secret woods are not a real problem, as player usually gets access to SW long before getting first auto-grabber).

      BTW. Grabber does not work for supply crates wash up on the shore of the Beach Farm.

      Once I have more time to settle down and brush it up I plan to gate the foraging of these locations behind their respective conditions.

      Just downloaded the Experimental Global version of this mod. As soon as I set down a grabber and set it to "global" it instantly worked, no need to sleep to get it started. As I mentioned before, it'd be great if it could be compatible with the craftable mushroom box mod (and similar), as I still need to manually collect from any mushroom boxes I have crafted.

      Just finished testing the experimental version. Global Grabber seems to work correct.

      Only potential issue could be the panning (collecting ores from ore pan sites in the water) function. The daily yields of ore seems too extensive (several dozens pieces of each ore daily). After 2 in-game days decided to disable it (yields seemed too excessive).

      Yeah this was after I tuned it to only query the ore pan sites every hour, it seems that it can still be excessive at a global level. I might make it a setting for every N minutes.

      So the Autograbber World-Wide does seem to work on Multiplayer... though it may be due to the fact that I was the Host.

      I cannot get the global grabber to grab globally, no matter what I do. I've toggled the grabber, uninstalled/reinstalled it, saved, slept, but it will only autograb what's on the farm. It worked once, at best, then never again. Is there a troubleshooting method I'm forgetting?

      why not making the autograbbers to grab in their influence zone ONLY? this hybrid zone|map-wide setup is making a mess of product lines, items that are not supposed to be grabbed by certain machine groups are
      appearing in wrong chests or worse, being sold automatically.

      Why didn't anybody made anything to fix that problem so we can produce->craft->sell automatically? it could be a hopper that filters items (super hopper is trash, it just grabs all items, no filter) or fixing this mod by making them respect grab zones ALWAYS.

      I seem to need to reset the global functionality each morning by pressing G to unset and then G again to reset. Not a big deal, but something that might need looking into.

      Also, would it be possible to change the toggle key in the config file? When I press G I get a message from the game saying "you hear your grandpa's voice saying "you're not ready for that yet"", so I'm thinking it's part of the main game that can't be changed.

      I had a small challenge when I attempted to collect from a potted coffee plant, but it gave me a "Unsuitable Location" error. (I think it was because I had it burred behind a 2 layers of kegs...)

      It does not work on mod maps, after an event that opens a new part of the map, the grabber stops working on added mod maps - it only works on basic ones. The event with Ridgeside Vilage after the story finale opens a new zone and the next day the grabber did not collect in Ridgeside and Umuwi. Global option disabled and re-setting the grabber and it works in maps with mods, but global does not.

    I don't know nothing, but hopefully it's possible: Can an option be added to designate Grabbers as Local, Global?
    Local - This grabber will Grab stuff on this screen/map ONLY (only this coop, only the farm, only this barn, only the beach)
    Global - This grabber will grab all things from the world

    The idea is that when I plop down grabbers, one per coop, greenhouse, cellar, etc. I don't want the grabbers to step on each other's toes. So that when I press G, the grabbers behave correctly.
