New user here, just noticed when going through the settings that under the deluxe bait in the ingame configs it has special item chance sliders twice but I'm assuming the first is meant to be double item amount chance
I will match this amazing mod with the Cooking Overhaul, a mod makes dishes like slice of fish can be profitable. thank you for this great work, I can play Stardew as a profession fishman.
I have a question. Is there a way for the catches to have all varying qualities or is it only "normal or iridium with no in-between"? I figured it would be more fun for you to get all different qualities spread across the board, like how normal crab pots work (in RL I mean) with the quality of your catches being random. If there is, I don't know what setting it is. For my crab fisherman run, having iridium quality EVERYTHING by default seems busted, but if I don't have that turned on, then all my stuff is normal quality and that seems boring too lol.
that should already be the case by default in this mod BUT having the fishing level 10 perk luremaster or mariner acts like the foraging perk botanist. you can simply go into the config and disable LuremasterPerkForcesIridiumQuality and MarinerPerkForcesIridiumQuality and then you will have varying quality based on your fishing level, with the same scaling as foraging without botanist. after that it will be increased by a multiplier based on the bait used in the crabpot, so be sure the BaitQualityChanceModifier config value for the bait you are using isn't 0. this should be the case with a default config, but maybe you changed it. if it doesn't work let me know and I'll test it.
yes, the crabpot item will have quality. by default, there are no special effects for using fish-specific bait (no duplication chance or conversion chance)
Wanted to let you know about a small typo in this mod's description. The link to your other mod Forage Fantasy, is accidentally to mods/edit/?id=7554 instead of mods/7554. That's your link to edit it, not the public page, so anyone other than you gets access denied.
Not so much a request as it is a question.. but is it possible at all to allow Crab Pots to catch regular fish too? One of my all time favorite Mods for Stardew Valley was the "Walk of Life - Immersive Professions" one of the Fishing skill professions let you catch regular fish in crab pots. Unfortunately the mod was discontinued and deleted which is sad cause it had lots of cool features that brought more depth to the Professions.
walk of life (just like all the other smaller mods of that author) were put into one giant total overhaul mod called MARGO which since then was released only on github (https://github.com/daleao/modular-overhaul). it has no 1.6 update and it will take a while to update (due to the very nature of packaging all your modular mods into one giant one). as a question of feasibility of course it is possible to change the loot pool of crab pots. as a request of me implementing it, especially in this mod, I will have to decline since it's not something I am interested in using nor maintaining. it's better suited for a different mod author
