Hello and thanks for your mod!
Is it possible as a feature request, to make so that the horse flute requirement optionally checks only if you own the flute, instead of having to carry it in your inventory?

Hi! It's an interesting idea, but it becomes tricky in multiplayer since items don't track their owner; so once any player has bought a horse flute, all players will be able to summon the horse. If that's still something many players would find useful, I could certainly look into adding that option though.

I understand. Still instead of having it for free or having everyone to buy it, it could be a middleground to only have one player buy it as a "common expense" to save some Qi Gems.
Anyway I hope it founds its way as a future optional config, good luck with everything and thanks for the answer :)

I am having problems that if I summon the horse inside the mines, I am unable to summon the horse anywhere else. Since my normal save file could not run just Horse Flute and SMAPI, I used an old save file from 1.0 to test the issue. Here is the log:

The same problem, when the horses were summoned in the mine, the farmer returned to the ground, but the horses were blown and no horses appeared. The horses were left under the mine and returned to the farm the next day. I didn't know how to solve them.

Hi! I added a change in the upcoming Stardew Valley 1.6.9 which should hopefully fix that.

Hello. I really like your mod and find it very useful. However, there's an issue (which you have addressed with a new approach):
I need the config.json file to set multiple keys (R, DPadLeft).
But I don't know how. Can I download an old version? Or should I find a way to edit the mod file myself? Any help would be appreciated.

    Edit:
I tried to download 1.1.24, and it's working fine. But i don't know for how long, lol.

Hi! The config.json file is created automatically after you launch the game with the mod installed. (That's how it works for nearly all mods, to avoid deleting your settings each time you update.)

Does it work with tractor mod? I want to take my tractor into the greenhouse but it's not working.

Hi! Tractor Mod has its own summon key (Backspace by default).

Hi, I have a problem, I use both this mod and the tractor mod, when I press the H key I can't summon my horse, but it will summon my tractor. Is there something wrong with my Settings? I'm sorry my English is not very good, so I use Google Translate。

Sorry, I think it may not be a problem, it may be a problem with my other mods, because I found that I removed them all and still had this problem. I'm gonna run it again.

Hi! I just updated to the latest version (Horse Flute Anywhere 1.1.24 (balanced mode)-7500-1-1-24-1716438338) , and noticed that the config.json with my customized keyboard/controller binding was overwritten. Is the config.json supposed to be included in the mod? (I thought it would be created if it didn't exist the first time you run the game). I checked the other mods I updated at the same time, and none of them included the config.json file; so my keyboard mappings were preserved.

    Thanks!

Hi! The 'balanced mode' download just preconfigures the config.json file, so you can use the 'unlimited mode' download to keep all your settings. Now that the mod supports Generic Mod Config Menu, I might remove the extra download in upcoming versions to avoid that.

Done in Horse Flute Anywhere 1.2.0! There's now a single download with no config.json file.

That was just a typo in the initial upload; I reuploaded that file to avoid confusion. Thanks for reporting it!

Hi! The original PPJA mod author locked the comments, it's not something I did.

The PPJA situation is messy, since...

      • The PPJA mods were partly migrated from Json Assets (JA) to Dynamic Game Assets (DGA). That migration broke many of the item references, and many players still had the JA versions since the DGA versions had some technical issues.
      • Updating the mods would likely migrate them from JA/DGA to the new object data in Stardew Valley 1.6, which would break all the item references again.
      • The PPJA mods aren't open source, so updates are legally iffy.

The PPJA mods are abandoned and replaced by the new Cornucopia mods like Cornucopia - More Crops and/or Cornucopia - More Flowers. They already support a few artisan goods, but they're working on a Cornucopia - More Artisan Goods mod which will add a lot more.

I downloaded the unlimited mode, and it won't even show up in GMCM and I basically can't use this mod, it doesn't have config file

    edit:
I downloaded the balanced mode, the config is there but it won't show up in GMCM

Can you try it again, then upload your SMAPI log (see instructions on that page) and post a link here?
