Everything works fine, except for the trees. It always seems to be set to random even after having changed it in the config file. While looking at the customization guide pictures and the "Accepted Config Values", the tree options don't add up. The Accepted Config Values file has a lot more options, which are all very different from the ones listed in the images. Anyway, nothing seems to work and they keep being randomized.
For some weird reason, my mountains turned vanilla, but everything else seems fine? Not sure what happened since it was working until recently. I think it has to do with the other recolors I use, but even doing the "add z" tip didn't make this mod load last to overwrite the others. Any other solutions? (or will i have to write false dependencies for all the recolors/mods that change the loading menu...)
I had this same issue and then I realized I was doing it wrong!! For the first "mountain," you type the color. Then for "front" and "back" mountains, you do a number of 1-3. 1 is darkest, 2 is medium, and 3 is the lightest.
Thanks for the tip! Sadly, didn't work for me :( But! I did figure out what it was:
I have "Redraw Pelican Town VPR" and in the Assets > Cursors > LooseSprites folder, there is a "cursors" png with the mountains. I just removed that part from the mod's content file and the Custom Menu's mountains showed up again. I do wish there could be a more seamless way, like setting a late priority as someone else suggested - I'm thinking a lot of recolor mods out there have these mountains in their files too, so Custom Menu just needs to override them.
Do you consider updating the compatibility for SDV 1.6 modders? Setting a late priority to your edits, given how specific the mod is, so its changes won't be overwritten.
When and where do the seasonal variants apply? In the main menu it can't tell what season your farm is in yet. Is it when you go to sleep/save overnight?
The seasonal variants are for the background when you get your money report at the end of the day, at least I think, they look similar, I can't get anything other than the menu and loading screen to work still fiddling with it
Hi, the seasonal variants are actually only shown behind the inventory screen when you open your inventory and if you have Settings -> Graphics -> Menu Backgrounds set to "Graphical" as shown here:
Can confirm it works. It even randomizes the backgrounds as intended for me. I did nothing special just threw the mod into the mods folder as usual (extracting it ofc)
the default is that it randomizes everything every game start. If you want to set a fixed background or only randomize a few aspects you need to go in the mods config. In the "Accepted_Config_values.txt" youll find every value you can put in the config. Lets say you always want pink clouds, you go into the config and look at the" "Clouds": "truerandom" "line and change it to " "Clouds": "white" " You can see the different options for clouds, mist, mountains, sky, sparkles and trees in the assets folder.
I personally leave everything at random, because I love to be greated by a new wonderful background each launch
wheres the config file? i had this mod yesterday but deleted it cause it wasnt letting me pick what i wanted and i went to try again today but the config file is gone lol
