I like this mod.  It's silent and subtle.  However, I wish it were a little more dynamic.  As in, if the player rests for a longer period of time, then they gain a bit more stamina faster.  There is a mod that does this, but it also invades your UI with notification messages — which I'm not down for.  Otherwise, I'd be using that one.

I want to use this one, definitely.  I just need to figure out what a good, "fair" regen rate should be…  An hour and 10 minutes in-game makes sense from a "real world" perspective, but from a gameplay perspective, that feels too… "cheatsy".

Edit: I figured out a pretty fair value.  A "tick rate" of 38 puts the full recovery time around 4 hours (in-game).  That seems pretty reasonable to me, and it still disincentives the player unless they desperately want or need energy.  That's how I see it, anyway.

    Cheers and thanks, Entoarox.

I've intentionally kept this mod as simple as it is because that makes it less likely that future SDV updates will break it, introducing mechanics such as you suggested would increase mod complexity and risk things breaking more easily in the future.

As to the regen rate, because everyone has their own idea of 'fair', it is intentionally configurable for that exact reason, so I am happy you found what you consider to be a fair rate.

Where can I configure the tickrate? Unless I'm missing it or its under another name, I looked in the Generic Mod Config Menu in game that lets you edit mod details but couldn't find this mod in there, as well I don't know/have the program that lets you edit dlls.

But FR thank you for this mod, it just makes sense personally that you should be able to sit and regain stamina and I'm glad that you made it, even if I don't know how to config it xD

After you run the game with the mod installed at least once, a config file will be generated in the mod folder, there you can change the TickRate

Does it have the config of ability to recharge to half a full bar (or about 70%-80% of a full bar) of regeneration?
    If it's not can I..
REQUEST: [CONFIG] Ability to recharge only half of a full bar of Stamina for realistic
REASON: Realistically, Sit is only Recover some energy

Stamina regen is over time while sitting, you are essentially exchanging time for stamina by doing this.
As such, I've not seen a reason to implement any other limitations.

Yeah, I can easily change in the config for more longer wait while sitting.
Maybe the true REASON is: While sitting it will exchanging time for stamina, but by just sit human can't fully have recovered the energy. That is "*some energy" I mean

I understand what you are asking, but I simply see no point in it - unless I make the sitting have diminishing returns (Which I wont) it is just a matter of spreading 1 big "sit down" into multiple small ones.

This mod is intentionally as simple as possible to ensure it will work well with as many other mods as it can.
So any complexity in the stamina regen will not be added to my version of the mod.

You know, if only there was a big obvious [version 1.6 compatible] tag to let people know if that was the case or not!

Oh well, since no such thing exists, I guess you just have to figure it out the hard way...

you could have simply said ''no its not compatible'' instead of being a asshat about it.

@eromaniac ... Really? REALLY? You had the time and energy to complain about this and you cant even bother to get the details right?

My whole *point* was that the mod HAS the [Version 1.6 compatible] tag right there, at the top, on the description, here on the comments, on the files, on images, on EVERY TAB.

So excuse me if I respond with extreme sarcasm to people who have to look right past that *at least twice* just to be able to ASK their question to begin with!

@Entoarox Really? REALLY? You had the time and energy to write all of this instead of help that guy if you know the answer or ignore if you dont?! Miserable dumbbutt...

@BrainCurtis Should I also remind them of how to BREATHE?

There is a minimum requirement to modding a game, reading all provided information.
People who clearly refuse to do so are beyond my ability to help to begin with.
The reason I refuted with such "a big statement" is to clarify how blind OP needed to be to miss clearly delinated information.

In fact, if you bothered to read my initial sarcastic reply, I explicitly say "You know, if only there was a big obvious [version 1.6 compatible] tag to let people know if that was the case or not!"
You know, as in - I *did* answer the question - but I did so in a sarcastic manner that requires having at least 2 braincells available to think through what is being said there.

You need to start the game at least once after installing a new mod to generate config files.

I recommend using this mod together with "Expert Sitting Mod"

    https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/7435

Expert Sitting Mod lets you sit on rocks or nodes while mining so you can recover without bringing a chair with you its compatible with this mod as of (SDV version  1.6.8)

Did I read that note correctly?  This does not work if time is frozen?  /sigh Guess I'll just keep using CJB for infinite stamina.  This would have been nice, but most of my stamina burn happens in the mines and I have time frozen whenever underground so I can feel free to explore.

Use version 1.0 if you desire stamina regen with frozen time.

Go to the folder for SitForStaminaMod, you'll see "config.json" which has:
      "{ "TicksPerRegen": 12
      }"

To go faster, make the number smaller like 6
To make it slower, make the number higher like 24 or 48
