The Ye' Old snapshots were using Vibrant Pastoral Recolor by grapeponta. It's got some issues now, but there is a 1.6 fix for it out as a separate mod! 10/10 best reshade IMO.
once downloaded do i put the file into the mods folder and then the beach layout will change or do i need to do another step for the layout to change? ive installed mods before im just not sure how to get the standard already made maps to change into downloaded custom maps like this one
I really like your Island Map edit; but I seem to be running into a problem getting it to work. I've read everything on your description page and the "Read Me" in the folder, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong (unless I'm being silly somehow).
Every time I load into the Island Map, Smapi gives me this error:
[Content Patcher] SMAPI blocked 'Maps\Farm_Island' map load: mod has no tilesheet with ID 'Paths'. Map replacements must keep the original tilesheets to avoid errors or crashes.
I'm not sure if this is because it's conflicting with another mod - although I don't have any other mods that edit the Island Farm besides yours.
Any advise you could give me would be appreciated.
I downloaded the file I uploaded to nexus and tried it. Worked fine for me.
Double check these: SMAPI is properly installed. If you use Mac, make sure MONO is installed. Make sure Content Patcher is Installed. Make sure nothing else edits the island farm map. Make sure no core files have been tampered with.
Thank you very much for checking! Unfortunately it just doesn't want to work for me.
I double checked all your steps. I even uninstalled everything and took all my mods out. Reverified files via steam, redownloaded content patcher, smapi, and your map mod, and it was still giving me the same error with only those 3 things installed.
It makes me sad that I won't be able to use it, but I suppose there isn't much else I can do.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to try and help me! And good luck with your future mods! :)
Hello, again! This is not a super big issue, but I just wanted to point out that it seems this map might be incompatible with custom houses.
I have Seasonal Garden Farmhouse V2 (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/6005) installed, and when I try to go back into the house I can't go in and get a smapi error:
[Content Patcher] SMAPI found an issue with 'Maps\FarmHouse1' map load: mod reordered the original tilesheets, which often causes crashes. Technical details for mod author: Expected order: indoor, untitled tile sheet, walls_and_floors. See https://stardewcommunitywiki.com/Modding:Maps#Tilesheet_order for help. I tested it with the custom map "Granpa's Farm" from SVE, but I don't have any issues with that map while using the Seasonal Garden Farmhouse.
I haven't tried it out with any other type of custom house, so I can't verify if it's just this mod or if it applies to all custom houses.
I apologize. Was thinking this was reference to Standard farm. Modest Maps Island is complete.
This issue you're seeing is on their part, due to them changing the tilesets. Seasonal Garden Farmhouse most likely is aware of the issue, but I would double check with them. I had a similar issue before and its a doozy.
Start a new game, walk out of the house. Map and everything is there as it should be, but I cannot interact with and reenter the house or interact with objects around outside the house, such as the mailbox and the door. Simply no option to do so. I appreciate you even responding to me!
Okay. I just downloaded the file to double check the version, and its working properly.
1. Make sure you have SMAPI Installed 2. If you're a MacOS user, make sure you have MONO installed. 3. Make sure you have Content patcher Installed. 4. Make sure you have no other mods changing the farm map. 5. Redownload and extract my mod.
I appreciate you looking, but no matter what I do I can't get it to work. Fresh install, no other mods, all that stuff. No idea what the problem could be. Oh well. Thanks for taking the time!
Download 4.6 I changed some things around to force a fix. I can't test it since it worked for me the whole time, but in theory it SHOULD work for EVERYONE now.
Once again, thank you so much for all your troubleshooting!
For the shipping bin, is it meant to be on the beach to the left of the house? It just seems to be oddly placed. I was looking for it to the right beside the cliff wall, so it took me a moment to find it on the beach.
i got this, not for the other modest maps mod tho [Content Patcher] SMAPI blocked 'Maps\Island' map load: mod has no tilesheet with ID 'Path'. Map replacement must keep the original tilesheets to avoid errors or crashes. Does the mod got blocked?
Maybe this SMAPI update is the problem? "3.8.2 mainly blocks farm map replacements that would crash the game in Stardew Valley 1.5, fixes various issues, and updates the compatibility list." Quoted from smapi website
I have found a way to solve the issue, as long as you use a map recolor! (such as Stardew Foliage Redone or Starblue Valley)
SMAPI is trying to load the .tmx file for the map, but the .tmx file needs tilesheets in the /assets folder of this mod to load the sprites from. Since the .tmx file is looking for specific loose tilesheets and not the packaged .xnb files the vanilla game uses, it cannot load the vanilla sprites and would crash, so SMAPI just stops it from loading altogether.
A quick work around is to open up the /assets folder from the recolor mod you're using, and find these three tilesheets: paths.png, spring_island_tilesheet_1.png, spring_outdoorsTileSheet.png.
COPY (do not just drag and drop! copy and paste) these tilesheets to the /assets folder of Modest Maps Island Farm V4.
Now the .tmx file will have the tilesheets it needs to load the sprites properly and the mod will load.
I assume this can be done with the vanilla files but I do not now how to extract .xnb files and don't feel comfortable giving advice on that.

Does this also feature the Supply Crate thing from the vanilla version?

Could you explain exactly what happens?
1. Make sure you have SMAPI Installed
2. If you're a MacOS user, make sure you have MONO installed.
3. Make sure you have Content patcher Installed.
4. Make sure you have no other mods changing the farm map.
5. Redownload and extract my mod.
