I'm always a bit weirded out by this scene, because the tomato is both. Vegetable is a culinary description, fruit is a scientific one. The tomato is a fruit used as a vegetable when making food.
I agree they're both! :) But the scene is really about fruit, not tomatoes, which is why it's important that fruit is a scientific AND a culinary category.
(Technically, vegetable is "scientific" as well, but incredibly broad. Think "vegetable matter".)
Demetrius is a botanist, but he's not a cook, so he never considered to classify plants by their flavor. That's not what's important to him. So both "vegetable" and "fruit", as culinary concepts, are equally foreign to him.
Also thank you for the informative description format. I find if you not sure if a new mod fits with the experience your trying to create usually the only recourse is to download and open the text file yourself. Not only did the description leave no doubt to the tone, but the text was right there. A mystery to anyone who wanted to keep it that way, and an open book who anyone who wanted to know.
Probably wouldn't be practical for big mods, but a refreshing format that works perfectly for something on the small side of things.
I have downloaded so many dialogue mods just to read through them and compare them with others, so I know the feeling. I want people to download this mod because they like it. :)

Now I need to find a mod to tell Demetrius "STAY OUT OF MY CAVE!" Oh maybe turn him into "Batman" and Demetrius pays rent to use the Bat Cave.
