Yesterday when my trans relative asked whether there was a mod to remove adoption for gay couples we both did an extensive research and didn't find that one at all, hence why I decided on trying to make my own thing. Had we found it we would've probably used pregnancy role instead lol. Still it's my first ever mod in my entire life so I was glad for the opportunity ^^ I will edit my description to add a link to that one for anyone interested to help them actually find it. Plus I have no doubt it's done way better than mine ! thanks again <3
The author of Pregnancy roles is actually put several mods that also fall under the trans umbrella on the bottom of their description page, which was pretty awesome of them. Including Diverse Seasonal, probably because their version of Penny is trans
In my way too many hours spent searching nexus for every kind of SDV mod, I've also found the They/Them Abigail & the Gender Neutral Toddlers Mod
If you were wondering if their was anything else you couldn't find I might know it? (be it here or in PM, since you'd maybe prefer to keep your mods comments about Pelican Children?)
Hi! I really loved the idea of this mod and wanted to update it for 1.6... so I did! My version is called Pelicans Bring Babies and I hope it can continue the original mission of whimsical equality. I added a couple lines and slimmed down the code, but I've given full credit to this mod as the inspiration: it's listed in the manifest and linked directly on the Nexus page.
Ironically, I did most of the coding on Trans Day of Visibility! Even if I didn't get it done that day, I hope it still carries the message: you're seen, and you're loved. <3
I believe this mod is messing up the strings that display for furniture for some reason (removing it fixed the issue). I'm not sure if you plan on updating it or not, I completely understand if you're not interested, but I would love it if I could have it in 1.6. I like the whimsy this mod brings, and it lets me use unique children mods without me having to choose who gets pregnant with something like Pregnancy Roles or have the dissonance of my adopted children looking exactly like my spouse.
i personally won't be using this mod because i don't plan on having children in game, but i just wanted to say that i still really appreciate that you made this. i know a lot of people wont understand the significance of such a small change, but as a queer person i know how much happier a lot of people in my community would be with a pelican delivering their baby instead of the immersion of the game being broken with discomfort. thanks :-)
