Hey ! (^∀^●)ノシ The first thing i wanted to say is that i really love your mods!! The second thing is a request: could you add some of the hairs from your Seasonal Outfits mod in this one? or maybe find another way to make the hairs avaliable for the farmer? Im in love with maru's summer hair (the little ponytail kills me everytime <33) and with Emily's winter/summer hair, but i know that making hairs for the farmer is a whole lot harder then to make it for characters. Im not sure if you're still active, but if you do read this and if you can, please consider it. Have a good day/night!! ☆⌒(*^-゜)v
sorry if this sounded like a demand.. english is not my first language !! (*/ω\*)
hey!! I was just wondering if you still plan on adding the hairs :-) if you don't have the time for it rn, can you give me some tips on how i could do it myself? i know how to edit the sprites to separate the hairs from the characters, but would it require any changes in the code/hair for it to be compatiblhe with the farmer? have a gd/gn!! (^^)/
I'm getting a lot of bald heads. It works fine when creating a new character, but when I try to change the hair using CustomizeAnywhere, it loads the hair in this mod from 7101 to 7136. The hair before those are all bald. I don't use any other hair mods. Here's the SMAPI log if it helps: https://smapi.io/log/900d1331b8e04655b2fc8a210719d643
ah, the problem is with customize anywhere that hasn't updated for the new method of adding hair, report it on their page. As you said, I assigned the hair ids from 7101 to 7136. Vanilla content skips the ids in between but customize anywhere doesn't.
Dang. I just happened to stumble upon this explanation for my hundreds of blank/bald hairs using CA.
I wonder what would be more likely: me learning C# to fix it or CherryChain coming back to Stardew modding 💁🏻♀️
Thanks anyway for solving this mystery for me!
P.S. Perhaps as a work-around I could try adjusting the ID numbers for the hairs. I'm able to do non-coding modding stuff only. I think if I'm careful not to overlap any IDs it might work. (Somebody please give me a heads-up if this idea is nonsense/won't work as intended ;))
it's a good idea for a personal edit, however sadly not viable for modders since not everyone has all hair mods and then users would still have bald heads if another mod they don't have would use, say id 150-200 and my mod would then use 200-230 to avoid conflict. modders usually use these high numbers because it's their mod id on the nexus +the number of hair to avoid conflicting with other mods. the best way to use the hair mod is by using either the wizard where no bald heads show up or, if you only have one hair mod, looping around by selecting a hair to the left when you are on hair 1 with customize everywhere.
Hi, thanks for your reply! I definitely meant for this idea as a personal edit. You're totally right that it'd be untenable for modders and I think most people are using FS now anyway (I do love that framework I'm just trying to work with a different one right now).
I just peeked into the mods I have that add more hairs and the IDs go from 7100-7135 to 17611-17634 to 746300000-746300015, which definitely explains some of the insanity I've been experiencing.
I tend to forget about the wizard's shrine, and it's true, the numbering issues don't seem to happen there!
(Now all my extra hairs are listed as 415324 - 415414 so hopefully no more long bald stretches if I go backward from 1. ◙‿◙)

Sure, I can add them but I'm busy right now so it might take a while ^^'
I'd like to mention that in FS file hairs number 14 and 26 are numbered as 13. I fixed it for myself but wanted to let you know.
