AS OF 1.6 BEATRICE HAS NOW BEEN INTEGRATED INTO THE EAST SCARP. MOD ***********************************************************************************
This mod has open permissions, and Attonbomb has neither updated nor responded to my emails/DMs since approx 2021. We have re-worked her sprites and dialogue to bring her more inline with existing Scarp lore and make her an active part of the community.
They should update this mod, it hasn't been done for two years and the poor thing has no events, I'm surprised by the number of people who have downloaded it, I hope they update it
I am contemplaying assimilating her into ES when 1.6 releases. Her original creator has basically moved on. We've got a volunteer updating her but if they don't come through, ill take her in. None of us have access to this page to edit it though. I too am surprised by how many DLs she has (given the lack of events/updates), i guess players want ppl in the Scarp?
Please make some more East Scarp Residents. I was looking forward to Beatrice, but as you said no one is updating her. Thanks for the awesome work you are doing keeping the game fresh for those of us that are newish.
Is Beatrice included in your ES plan still? I love her in my game as the Lightkeeper but sadly the latest version of content patcher or smapi wont let me load my save while Beatrice NPC mod is installed.
It's the Cajun French dialogue that's going to make it harder for me to capture her "voice". I'd love it if someone familiar with that could reach out to me? Help me make it sound authentic?
This mod is required (!) TMXL Toolkit. This is only read down in the description. Thats all.
In the required list when you download it, or on the requierement unfold list its not included. Thats why i was think, Beatrice dont need TMXL mod. This causes into the error, she wont appear on Festivals, when you dont install the TMXL.
Please correct this.
And i have a question: Will you do a future add a option with no required TMXL version? TMXL is very buggy and most mods and SMAPI wont support it in future.
Updated Smapi and or Content Patcher might have caused this. Im still able to load my save before updating, after updating those i also got this error message.
There's a simple temporary fix to get this working again. In the Beatrice NPC/[CP]Beatrice/ folders, go to the content.json, and at the very top of the file, change "Format": "1.10.0", to "Format": "1.17.0", (just change that one zero to a seven). I did this after seeing the error in SMAPI: "14:56:47WARNContent PatcherIgnored Beatrice: specifying the patch update rate ('Update' field) requires Format version 1.17.0 or later".
When I made this small change, the mod loaded and the game worked again.
I finished her special order for refined quartz and put it in the chest in the lighthouse. The next day I got a letter from her thanking me and telling me to come to the lighthouse. But when I went in, there was no cut scene or anything. What reward was I supposed to get for completing the special order?

Change the "format" in the content.json to 1.17.
I might add some story to her when I"m done writing Eyvindr.
For me at least it's a mix of a nice bit of diversity for the valley and her occasional Cajun French lines being an interesting hook.
