So, I've snooped around the mod's code and tried to update if for 1.6 and I THINK I managed to make it work. I've tested the dialogue, the events and marriage - had no issues. Here the link to the archive with the updated mod (Don't want to create a page on Nexus cause mod author might still update it on their own and they surely will do much better job than I)
Oh, and you'll probably need to start a new save - I've encountered some funky visual bugs on my old save (but it was purely visual, just slightly annoying). Seems A-OK on the clean save though.
I can gift him now but I can't go behind his desk to talk to him when he's in the guild. It's closed off. Most of the time he's invisible to, I had to use a teleport to npc mod to get him to show up.

the Make Gil Real mod is broken where its literally as if it doesnt exist, if you ever have the time to update that one too, but if not thats ok, this is perfect still other than that cutscene

The problem is - I can't figure out how to remove\edit the basegame animation with Gil rocking in his chair, so now I have an actual NPC Gil who walks and talks and is giftable and uninteractable chair-rocking Gil. Havent tested it further than first few events and general interaction though.
I know this is kind of oversteped but could you check the Make Gunther Real and Romance Rasmodius too? They're from the same author and also ungiftable too

Aside from that, the mod seems to be working perfectly fine and Rincewinam you deserve the world for it.

i want to know if it doesn't list marlon as (single) with this mod, is he still datable? when pressing the know everything F1 shortcut mod, it also lists him as unromancable. hopefully someone's still active and can confirm <3
edit: solved, found out it is not compatible with Ridgeside cause it overwrites his disposition! love this mod so far <3
I think you would be better served by asking SVE to have an option to turn its alternate Marlon completely off. This mod cannot un-do what another mod already did.
You can look it up. Go to the stardew valley folder in your explorer, go to mods, then click on "[CP] Make Marlon real", last got to assets. Then there should be a Json file with the name "schedule_Marlon". Open that in editor.
