Hopefully one day someone can resurrect this mod and fix and have it accessible by bus. Even with just a vanilla game and only the required mods, I cannot get this to work.
I know there are very specific instructions on installation in the description, but either my brain hasn't grasped them correctly or the entrance to the Refugee Center map has moved? Everything else in the mod works fine (and I'm actually loving the mod so much, I've come up with 50ish new lines of dialogue for Sister Henry and Rose, as well as a few lines for Antoine and Monk), so I'll keep using it... but I'd love to be able to actually walk to the Refugee Center like I did prior to installing SVE instead of just warping there.
Just checking that I'm not doing something dumb? The entrance is supposed to be as pictured in the image (which is part of Susan's farm in SVE)? I overwrote the original [CP] Refugee NPCs with this one, then I have all 3 files ([CP] Refugee NPCs, [CP] Refugee NPCs Patches, and [TMX] Refugee NPCs) inside the "Unofficial Refugees" folder. I've played around with the locations of each of these folders, as well as renaming them a bit to make sure it loads after SVE, but I haven't found the magic combination.
Any thoughts or insight from anyone reading this would be appreciated!
Update: I found a solution! In case this is useful for anyone else, I'll post it here. It appears (for whatever reason) that the warps were drastically moved on the Railroad/Susan's Farm/Mountains map. I'm playing with so many mods, it's not surprising at all, but I don't know who the culprit is.
I realized something might be up when the warp to the Summit in SVE wasn't where it normally was (straight up the stairs) and I instead had to go up, then over to the left, then come back, as if I was trying to go "downscreen" for the warp to work. That got me thinking the Refugee's warp may have accidentally been moved, so I stalked Rose one night on her way home and found her walking through random foliage and then eventually a solid wall of rock. I've attached pictures to try to show where the entrance is for me in case any one else can use them. There's some overlapping so my farmer is hard to see.
For the record, Noclip Mode is necessary to go through the fence, trees, and rock wall, but it's easy to toggle on and off and has worked perfectly so far.
At the edge of the traditional SVE map, stairs lead to Summit:
If you go straight across with Noclip, you end up here, warp point is straight through that rock:
hi i know your not planning on updating it but im still gonna ask anyway cuz the refugees mod means a lot to me and has precious memories attached to it but ever since the lack of updates and it not being compatible with sve i had to drop it.... the mod works but i cant play with it since another mod doesnt work with it mod name is always raining in the valley [ Content Patcher] Two content packs want to load the 'Characters/Henry' asset (Always Raining in the Valley and Refugee NPCs). Neither will be applied. You should remove one of thecontent packs, or ask the authors about compatibility. the mods confuses one anothers character im sorry for asking but can you do anything about this if not its fine im asking both devs since i have a deep connection with both mods
SVE rewrites the entire railroad map, so I'm not able to add my changes. I was hoping to find a neater solution, but I guess what you could do is replace the SVE railroad map with an edited one...
I'll get started on testing this idea.
Update: SVE has a map name conflict. I'm going to have to edit the maps to work around this... :(
Yea, I am running into endless compatibility issues trying to get refugee npcs to work and sadly this looks like a good fix but its not currently working.

I'm pretty busy, so I probably won't get around to testing it myself. If you test it and it doesn't work, let me know and I'll work up a fix.
