So, I'm thinking of picking SDV back up, and one of the things I want to do is reenable integrations. But a big thing is that there might be a more easier way to support variable weather per location than the tracking I was not looking forward to implment.
Because of this, I'm goign to work on slowly reintegrating things into the mod. I'll be posting updates on moddrop at first, (due to various events here) but I may bring them back to Nexus.
This is just a current-plans thing. It depends on how much work I get done on my week off work, since work lately has been overwhelming me. (That, and frankly, the death of my father).
I sincerely apologize for the radio silence. It's been a rough end of the year.
As of 1.6, this mod is officially dead. For a good reason: you can set weather patterns in Content Patcher now, rather than needing a full blown C# mod.
Thank you, to everyone who downloaded this mod and enjoyed it.
i know it's been like a year since you asked this lol, but just in case: go into ferngill weathers folder, go to fergillcustomweathers. config file is in there
I love, love, LOVE this mod! I'm really going for a Silent hill aesthetic during my next playthrough, and I'm wondering if there is a way to set the fog so that it's always on all day? I currently have my config file set up so that the fog appears in the morning and night, but it seems to disappear automatically at 8:30AM and returns at 6:30PM with no options in the file to modify this.
My fog chances are at 100% - what I'm asking for is a bit different. Currently the mod spawns and despawns fog at certain times of the day, and it would be awesome to have an option to have the fog stay all day rather than despawning at a certain time. :)
Is this mod completely dead, or being updated elsewhere? I used to love playing with this mod but lately all that seems to work is fog, and it NEVER rains. Not even forecasted rain. I don't know if that's this mod's fault or something else I have going on, but I thought it'd at least be worth mentioning in case anyone else is having similar issues.
This mod is amazing. I'm sad to see that it hasn't been worked on in a while but there also isn't any issues that I've noticed so, makes sense. I don't mean that as a complaint either, its just such a dramatic improvement to the current weather system, especially when paired with visible wind effects, that I can't help but wonder how much further it could be taken. Still, I am grateful for what is here, it is more than "enough," and I thank you for creating this little gem.

I am constantly covered in fog and it's like clockwork. Every morning for the past 3 months FOG, every afternoon FOG.
Maybe a total of one or two days a month does this cycle not trigger.
so I found the config file and noticed that fog is set to 40% to 60% on some settings which seems to be why we get so much fog
I have set the fog to the following settings:
ignore settings cause crash(ignore not this mods fault){
"FogChanceInEarlySpring": 0.2,
"FogChanceInLateSpring": 0.05,
"FogChanceInEarlySummer": 0.01,
"FogChanceInLateSummer": 0.1,
"FogChanceInEarlyFall": 0.3,
"FogChanceInLateFall": 0.3,
"FogChanceInEarlyWinter": 0.15,
"FogChanceInLateWinter": 0.15,
"UseLighterFog": true,
"DisplayFogInTheDesert": false,
"EveningWeatherFogChance": 0.33
}
Every single day I was covered in dense fog! Couldn't see anything around my player, was getting annoying.
I'm playing on Android SDV 1.5
