Hello! I really like the idea of this mod, but it doesn't seem to work. I notice that, when I unzip the mod into my "Mods" folder, it doesn't look like the other mods. Instead of getting its own folder to itself, it's just a loose pair of "content" and "manifest" json documents. Those had no effect on the equipment. So, I created a new folder, "Combat Gear Enhanced", to put the loose json documents into. It still didn't work, so I'm out of things to try. Does the mod maybe only work if you install it before you get the sword and boots?
Alright, I tried that, made sure to get the folder name exactly right, and it still didn't seem to change either the boots or the sword. Weird. I really thought that would work.
EDIT: Just wanna note that the mod's name and description show up in the SMAPI command prompt window, with no apparent errors.
I've re-uploaded the file and it should work normally now. The way the file is extracted can effect whether or not an additional folder is generated. I've had many users complain that when they extract my files they do not work. This is because they've generated an extra folder that the mod folder is now nested inside of. I tried to circumvent that problem here. Clearly that just created a whole new issue!
Thanks - the file seems to extract properly now. The mod still doesn't seem to work though. The sword still does the same amount of damage and the boots still have the same amount of defense. I have no other mods that would affect them either, so I have no idea why it's not working.
You have to reacquire the items. The save file stores the stats, so you need to override that with the new info. I suggest CJB's item spawner for a real quick fix.

Could you also give the hammer some love, like a simple +3 defense on it?
