    Ok everyone, a bit of good news and bad news.  Let's start with the bad;
    I am going to be closing this mod down due to coding issues I cannot seem to correct after the 1.6 release.
    The good news; Tractor Mod will have it's own native sounds!!  The need for this mod will be obsolete!
    In the meantime, I recommend not using the SMAPI Part of Tractor Sounds due to it using the old Custom Music Engine and have been unsuccessful on updating it.

    So can someone please carify the claim made below about this mod being deprecated??

      As far as I know, he told me it would have native sounds by 1.6, which we are approaching.

      Sounds will be added in Tractor Mod 4.17.0 for the upcoming Stardew Valley 1.6, so you still need this mod if you want sounds in Stardew Valley 1.5.6.

    Why does it need PyTK?

      you shouldn't be using this, but it needs pytk to use lua conditions.
      Tractor Mod now has native sounds, so this is only useful for android.

      Thanks for clarifying that.
      Just a suggestion, but might be a good idea to add "only for Android" next to the PyTK requirement.

      this whole mod is only for android now. The tractor mod added it's own sounds, making this irrellevant

      But the Tractor mod has no sound assets and I can't find any mention of engine sounds in the release notes.

      Tractor still makes horse sounds on my game. And like I said, it doesn't come with any sound assets.
      Am I missing something obvious?

    I like the sound but for some reason it never stops, doesn't matter if I go to sleep and check the next day. Nothing on the SMAPI log, though...

      It has something to do with recent changes... once you step a certain distance from the tractor, it will stop... but it used to get louder the closer you got... I'm trying to figure it out but there isn't much motivation to do so since 1.6 Tractor will have it's own native sounds.. I will close this up after the fact :3

    Had a look through the comments, but decided to give it a go anyway. I'm running SVE and Horse Overhaul (both mentioned in comments), having no conflicts or issues at all.

    Pretty neat mod as it adds to the immersion, but may I ask if it's possible to mute the horse clopping when riding the tractor? (Which really, is pretty much just a retextured horse, so I don't really know where to start)

      There were two mods to download.. one is the engine idle.. the other uses Custom Music to change the clop noise to engine sounds

      This error is something that happens with SVE.. There isn't really anything I can personally do with it D:

    Hi, is there anyway to lower the volume of the tractor sounds in relation to the other game sounds? I find them to be a little too loud and overpowering, which makes sense considering it's a tractor, but it's starting to annoy me a little bit. I've tried all of the game's volume sliders and none seem to affect the tractor sounds.

      There isn't much I could do for you aside from telling you to use Audacity to lower the volume and save them like that

    Great mod, it adds so much to immersion! Just have a small problem, i can still hear the tractor idle sound even when i'm inside my home? :(

    If the mod doesn't work for you it's because you downloaded the "Tractor Engine Sounds - Complete" version which has broken .wav files. Just download the "Tractor Idle Sound Only" and "Tractor Sound Classic" and it will work.

    Basically I've added the mod folder and the prerequisites but when Stardew starts I get the following error in my log:

    anyone have an idea whats happening? the wav mod files are all there,
    Stardew Valley is version 1.5.4 
    SMAPI 3.9.1 is installed
    Custom music 1.8.0 is installed
    PyTK 1.21.0 is installed
    Tractor Mod 4.13.3 is installed.

      It's because you downloaded the "Tractor Engine Sounds - Complete" version which has broken .wav files. Just download the "Tractor Idle Sound Only" and "Tractor Sound Classic" and it will work.
