The mod seems to work just fine, but Sebastian had our baby and... I can't see our baby. They're THERE, when I click on the crib it shows that he's sleeping, but I can't see them. Is this a bug? I have SDVE and a few baby modifier mods, along with Diverse SDV, would that be a comflicting thing?
Hmm. Pregnancy Role has no effect after the baby has been born/adopted, so you're probably getting a conflict between two or more other mods you have installed. There may be some useful information in the SMAPI log which could direct you to which mod(s) are involved.
Mod works perfectly for the Farmer, but I don't have the option show up for any NPCs, I'm assuming because of SVE. I'm a little confused on how to approach this. This type of modding is very new to me, I'm the type to just drop stuff in the mods folder and hope it works. Do I need to create a content pack for whichever NPC I want this to affect? Or do I need to unpack the NPC Dispositions file with xnbcli and edit it there?
The only NPC that you'll see a Pregnancy Role dropdown for is your spouse, since this doesn't matter for anyone else. To preserve the creative intent of NPC modders, the dropdown is only provided for vanilla (base game) NPC spouses. If you marry an NPC from SVE or another custom NPC, you would indeed need to create a Content Patcher content pack, following the third set of instructions in the "Use" section for this mod. (An XNB mod would not work for this, since it would inherently conflict with the custom NPC mod itself.)
Uh oh. I may be able to track the issue down in your log file. Could you do the following? 1. Open the game, load any save, and close the game again. 2. Using a file manager, find the StardewValley folder on your internal storage. 3. Open the ErrorLogs subfolder and find the SMAPI-latest.txt file. 4. Upload that log file to https://smapi.io/log/ (following the rest of the instructions there). 5. Share the link from that site here.
Ah, you've got a very old version of SMAPI installed. You'll need to update to 3.5.0 or later, preferably the latest version, for Pregnancy Role to work. SMAPI has been removed from the Play Store, so it is no longer updating automatically. You can find more information here.
what a way to move the option from the skill page? because when add others mods like, magic, luck and skill doesnt luck good and I need to delete your mod =S ( I don't saw the other comments)
Hi. The new version released today, 1.2.0, fixed that issue. The Pregnancy Role dropdown will automatically move itself down to accommodate the custom skills. You can also now edit the config file to either move it farther or hide it completely.
I made that suggestion a few months ago - and just returned to playing the game after a couple months hiatus - and I gotta say, it is MUCH appreciated. All clean and easy to read now. ?
Greetings, and thank you kindly for this interesting mod!
I have a little question, if I may. I use several mods adding custom skills, and some of them add filled lines on the Skills Tab in addition to the basic skills. The end result being that the pregnancy role slider ends up sharing the same space as one of the skills in question. While I can kind of see what's written underneath, and I still can use the slider - so there is no 'practical drawback' to this, I can still use it as is - it would look a lot better and be clearer to read if I was able to move the pregnancy role slider down a bit.
Now, I'm no modder, nor do I have any knowledge of experience in coding, so I'm not sure if I'll explain this clearly, but I'll try. Some mods, like Another Hunger Mod, grant the ability to move a displayed item - in the aforementioned mod's case, the "Fullness bar" - by entering a set of 'coordinates', for lack of a better term? For example, Another Hunger Mod has a config file in which I was able to change two entries named FullnessUiX and FullnessUiY in order to put said bar in the lower right corner, right next to where my Health and Energy are displayed when they do appear on screen.
So, I was wondering if there was some way, some setting, in the Pregnancy Role mod, we could tweak in order to move the slider down, and if so, which one? ...I do not see a config file in that one's content, and the files I do see do not seem to have anything to do with it. If that isn't possible, would it be difficult - and would you be okay with doing so - to implement a way to do so in a latter update? As I said, it's not exactly a national emergency or anything, it would just be a neat option for people using certain other mods, so I don't want to be too much trouble either.
Either way, again, thanks for this mod and thanks for contributing to make my beloved Stardew Valley experience, and that of many others, even better.
I kind of missed it. What happens when you get pregnant? Or nothing? Men can get pregnant? Can you also directly set a single person pregnant? (Jesus is coming!) Will your appearance change?
This mod doesn't affect the chances of a baby question appearing, or how the pregnancy looks or happens when it does. All of that works like it does in the base game, except that some dialogue has been changed to avoid saying which spouse is pregnant. All this mod does is to let players and modders specify which characters can be involved in which ways in a pregnancy or adoption, so that those things are no longer tied to a farmer or NPC's gender.
It should be, yes, if you're changing the farmer's pregnancy role and have an SVE NPC spouse. If you wanted to change an SVE NPC's pregnancy role, you would have to create a small Content Patcher content pack.
