Is this still being worked on or is it dead? This mod was really necessary for large farming areas. If it is dead, can someone recommend another "mass planting" mod, please.
The new version (uploaded 12th August) does not work for me. I uninstalled every mod and it still doesn't work. when i designate a key as the "plant" key in the config file, it does plant seeds, but not over a distance.
Thanks so much for this mod! This is one of the most useful mods I've come across for this game - I was able to change the crop layout for my entire farm in just a fraction of the time it would normally have taken. Unfortunately, Point-And-Plant 1.0.2 is not compatible with the latest update to SMAPI 1.12 and SV 1.2.29. Could you please update this mod for the latest version of SMAPI?
I don't know if you still check on this mod but can you make a version that uses different keys as awsd are my primary go to controls for playing games.
Wow, I've been waiting for this mod since I started playing! Having to walk over the soil to place seeds drives me crazy, especially with a speed mod. Placing seeds (and immediately growing them) works perfectly, but whenever I try to plow the land my game crashes instantly. And on a side note, harvesting doesn't seem to work? It doesn't crash like plowing does, but I could be doing it wrong. Thank you so much for this mod!!
I'm glad you like it, I had been waiting for this mod for some time too. After the new update came out, I decided to step up to the plate.
I've uploaded a new version, it doesn't contain any fixes per se, as everything works fine for me. It does add a new configuration setting "loggingEnabled", and includes a .pdb file (which will allow the logger to display additional information, like line numbers, etc.) It defaults to false, so you'll need to change it.
It will show an error for each tile you try to plow that isn't dirt, or can't be plowed. Also if the tile it's trying to plow happens to be outside the current map, it will give an error. So the best advice I can give, is to try something small (so there will be less errors to sift through to find what exactly the problem is). Just try plowing one time on an area that's all dirt, and post the error message for me to look at.
Do the same for harvesting.
If crashing causes your SMAPI console to disappear, you might try running StardewModdingAPI.exe directly from a command prompt, so it will stick around after crashing. Thanks again, and I sure hope I'm able to help figure out what's causing my mod to break for you.
Thanks for updating and replying! Good news: the new version with the .pdb doesn't cause the game to crash to desktop anymore (yay), so I can post the error logs I got.

I don't know if it's something on my end, and I can always do a fresh reinstall or try something else. Regardless, I'll continue using your mod for the fantastic seed planting feature, so it's definitely not a deal breaker if it just turns out to be Murphy's Law
Of course after I uploaded the first version I realized immediately that I had forgotten to remove the hard-coded "Quality Fertilizer" that gets put in the soil during planting. Sorry if I contaminated anyone's farm. The latest version defaults to Quality Fertilizer if you use the provided configuration file, and no fertilizer if you let SMAPI generate it for you.
