I am sorry that I haven't been keeping up with the comments that you've posted.
I haven't been able to reproduce your issues but I updated the mod to Stardew Valley 1.5.6 and .NET 5 so I hope that fixes atleast some of them.
Currently how the machine works is that:
You interact with the tile that is the "mouth" of the furnace while holding the ores you want to smelt just like when using the mill.
Repeat step 1 for the rest of the ores.
Interact with the same tile with the coal to start the furnace. Its graphics should change to the animated gif shown on the top of this mod page after which you won't be able to add anymore ores for the day.
The next morning the furnace has processed the ores and displays it by showing a floating bubble of one of the results. They can be collected from the right side of the machine. Or if you have automate and the automate integration installed and have connected a chest or another accepted container the furnace will push the results there automatically.
I'm holding out for a hero to update this mod! The visuals are stunning and I love that it has seasonal support. Even though it's a big industrial thing it still fits in nicely with the rest of the farm and the fire animation is amazing! Never seen a better looking furnace! I love it!

For anyone who asks for update, it's mostly futile to ask for a never updated past 2 years this mod. Instead use an active + better mod of https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/7411 (Combine Machines), which does more, better and works for v1.6. If you want to keep the visuals, learn how Content Patcher works because it's very easy to replace an image with little effort on self-modding.
Hi, I use Automate, so I downloaded the industrial oven (original file) and downloaded the compatibility file for Automate, and put it in the mod file, the oven works perfectly but it doesn't pull from the chests automatically as it should in Automate, did I do or understand something wrong? There is no smap error or anything, but it just doesn't work. (even if it doesn't work, I think it's a great mod and I'll keep using it, I just wanted to understand if there's something wrong).
