Iirc there's something in the .yaml that allows it, probably a bit of work to actually combine them though, since I rewrote Linus' home schedule. Can't exactly remember how marriage worked and tbh I'm very unlikely to do it, trying to rush through a master's and phd in four years, it'll likely be a bit before I even fix the visual bugs I'm aware of. I'll leave permission open to someone to patch this in themself and reupload the mod, just give me credit please.
Have you had a chance to get this working for 1.5? I really love the idea of this mod. I always felt bad for Linus living in such a small tent... especially in winter!
I'd probably start off with him in his normal tent for "Year 1" and then install this mod for "Year 2"... if installing it in an already existing save game will work.
Unfortunately I've been exceptionally busy with school, getting a house, etc. Honestly I really loved this mod and what it did, if I find the spare time and motivation maybe I'll update this one day. For now unfortunately it is essentially dead. Feel free to try to fix/improve it yourself though!
Very nice mod and I love it. There is one problem, though. If the mod is active and you start a new game and haven't met Linus yet, he will be listed as being inside the treehouse/"tent", but Linus himself is gone. You cannot interact with him. Once Linus has been officially met, the mod has no problem.
I would absolutely LOVE this if there was a quest/I could help move him from the tent to a treehouse. Similar to Pam and Penny's trailer. It's still amazing all by itself though. Good work! Wow! :D :D
Man, this sounds like such a cool idea, but the sheer size of the interior is completely outside what my brain will accept as far as immersion. (And immersion is the biggest thing I look for in games like this, and mods.)
If you ever make a version with a very small tree house, such as a kid might make, I'd like to be notified. One small room, or maybe two (either two interior, or one interior and one exterior overlooking the mountain), but cramped and with a sleeping bag instead of a bed. No modern amenities, just camping basics. A bit more messy clutter, maybe (a place to store his fish bait, maybe piles of leaves to block out the wind...). Less like he's lost his defining trait ("I reject the norms of modern human housing") and more like he found a way to make the outdoors work better for him, like Swiss Family Robinson on a small scale.
Anyway, even if I can't use the current version, it sounds like a neat idea and I'm glad you made it!
One thing I noticed is that in a new file, Linus seems to be 'stuck' inside the tent area. You can go into the treehouse, but Linus isn't in there. He won't appear there until you have officially talked to him at least once, which would mean you have to remove the mod, talk to him, and then add it back to the game. Maybe this is a 1.5 patch thing, I don't know.
That would be my guess, I've had no time to find out what 1.5 broke. I apologize to anyone waiting for an update on this, if it comes, it won't be before the summer.
Sadly this is not compatible with 1.5 yet as it seems that there have been no changes to accommodate Leo's treehouse and the mountain shortcut once Robin makes it. I'd advise not using this mod unless you want Leo to go back to the island or use a no clip mod to go through the shortcut.
Mind shooting me a message (don't want spoilers here, but I'm fine with them in my inbox) to elaborate on what makes it incompatible? I'd like to make this compatible but don't really have the time to find out what all has changed to make it wrong.
