This mod does work in 2023 but has a few issues. Notably, in the Winter the model for the community center will glitch out. The mod could use some balance tweaks because some of the potions are too profitable while being too easy to make, like the Misfortune Potion which only costs x5 flowers and sells for 2500g. Since certain mods like PPJA Cannabis Kit add multi-drop reharvestable flowers, this resulted in me becoming a marijuana kingpin who refined his product into concentrated misery juice and shipped it around the country. It was a novel experience, but I still think it's unbalanced. The prices in the shop could be adjusted a bit too, and it would be nice to disable some of the added furnace recipes because they make it so you can accidentally create bottles while smelting quartz. Otherwise, I think this is a great mod that deserves to be updated one day.
A little bummed that this turned my quartz and coal into bottles when I needed refined quartz. Would be nice if you made a separate machine specifically for crafting alchemy bottles! :) That way you can better expect what you're making!
I’m having problems understanding how to make the potions themselves. One potion requires a bottle and ore (I have the recipe, just trying not to spoil much). I have the alchemy-still, and I am in Year 2, fall. How do I get them to work together? Do I need another item to work with the still? Like a furnace or barrel for brewing? Am I using the wrong buttons? I can pick up and place the still but that’s all. I really want to use this mod.
Hello, I just wanted to ask if this mod still worked, because the TMXL on the dependencies requires PyTK, which doesn't work anymore with the last SMAPI update. I love this mod and it would be great if I worked.
I ended up having to uninstall this. Once I got the shop into the game, the map for Pam's House and the Community Center no longer displayed correctly. Not sure if it's this mod or this mod + some other mod that may be causing issues in combination. I do have HypnoValley running also, which adds a new shop above Joja, but I think that's the only other one I have that edits the Town map though. Once I uninstalled Alchemy, the map went back to normal. Hope that helps folks to know.
