Hey there! I came back to your mod with the 1.5. out now and I'm so happy you're still alive and kickin'. What I wanted to ask is if you would maybe consider drawing portraits for the Mod "Ridgeside Village" too, because I just love what you did in your SV Extended Mod and also here with your Portrait mod for the 'vanilla' SV and I just really would like to see how you would re-imagine those characters. And I admit, I'm a sucker for nice aesthetics and you portraits are the best out there imho so I just wanted to ask you if there is hope for me or if this is never going to happen (because maybe I would give it a try then c: )
Hey Shaveevil! Glad to see you're well and still playing <3! Once I'm done with the HD portraits, I will happily ask for permission to do the portraits for the Ridgeside Village mod! I also have their mod in my game and think they've done a wonderful job! That will come before I finish the SVO portraits. I am just so terrible at making sprites and I have gotten stuck on there being so, so many sprites with SVO. I'm thinking of just releasing or making the portraits for the alternates (which matches SVO sprites) and not having some of my main portrait versions. So it would be Linus with beard, Gus with mustache, Harvey with glasses, Wizard with beard, etc. I'd rather not have to do that though, we'll see. Haha, this was off-topic, but the seasonal sprites are wearing me down, so I'm happy to do the HD version of my mods first, lol. Then, I'll do SVE and then Ridgeside Village if they'll let me :) Anyways, it was great to hear from you! Stay happy and healthy as well!! Have an awesome rest of your week! <3 xoxo
Thank you so much for the kind response, I'm really looking forward for your work. :) I was just testing out the Wilford NPC Mod and immediately thought of you. There is always something to do, I guess. The Ridgewood Community is very nice, too! I sometimes write on their Discord Server and they are very happy if something nice as Portraits show up, so I really think it will work out. Have a good time, really hope you still have fun keeping this great mod alive. <3 Your work makes the Stardew Valley Experience an even nicer one. :3
Hi! I love your portraits, they're absolutely stunning! I struggled with making the portraits work with LFL mod, but finally did! So, if anyone else is struggling like I was, here is how you fix it. Open the config file in the LFL mod, mine literally was just called config but was a JSON file. So, you open it with the notepad app, and change everything that says "Vanilla" to "Other" and boom! All fixed :D Hopefully this helps anyone! Love the portraits <3
Hi! I know it's been a while since you posted this, but it helped me, so I thought I would try asking...any idea why all of the portraits work with LFL except for the Wizard? Everything is working properly for everyone in terms of dating and whatnot, but the only portrait/sprite that doesn't show up is his(it gives him the vanilla version). I already edited the config file to set all "vanilla" as "other", so I'm confused about why it doesn't work for him specifically...
Edit: SOLVED! All I had to do was go into the config file for the this portrait mod(not the LFL config) and change WizardOriginal to false as well as WizardSprite to false. Dunno why, but that solved the problem. Hope this can help others with similar issues of missing portraits. <3 Now the only problem left is picking who I like best...everyone is far too gorgeous. ????? Thank you to the wonderful author of this glorious mod!
I really want to use your portraits but I encounter problems using it with Looking for Love mod :< I can't change how Willy and the other NPC looks. Though it works for Sam and the other original dateable characters.
I'll be patiently waiting for your high res portraits and compatibility to LFL mod.
The LfL mod has different sized portraits and my mod is only compatible by turning the LfL changed portraits off. LfL is a wonderful mod and maybe someday I'll be able to dedicate time to it. Have a wonderful weekend! :D
Hi, so I don't really know what I am doing wrong. I installed this mod like you said to following all instructions but its not changing how anyone looks. I am not using any other portrait mods I deleted the portrait folder and verified the games files to reinstall the original versions but it still isn't working. I really want to use this mod so could you help me? I've never downloaded a portrait mod that doesn't require you to override the old xnb. files with the new ones before. Here's my smapi log https://smapi.io/log/7ec1db21d611458f84a4760282c9d5f9
Hi :) I believe the file is not unpacked because it still says Nayrie's Portraits 3.1.0 in your SMAPI log, when the file folder should say [CP] Nayrie's Portraits. You can see how it should be under the 'preview the file contents' before you download the mod under the Files tab. I'm not sure what Portraits folder you deleted, but my mod will overwrite any old .xnb portrait mod. It works just like any other mod you unpack and paste into the Mods folder.

Hi :) Thank you so much!! I'm currently redoing this entire mod into a new high res version and that is my current focus. I have most of the seasonal portraits finished except for the sprites. I am terrible at sprite work and I would have to do sprites for every different outfit from scratch. I have started this, but it requires a great deal of time that unfortunately may not happen at this point. I haven't written it off just yet, but the high res version is now my priority. What may probably happen, is I may make high res portraits to match the og characters in SVO (so there will only be facial hair, glasses, correct hair color, body types, etc) so I no longer have to make sprites. We'll see what happens in the future :) At this point I want to redo everything! Anyways, have a wonderful rest of your week! <3
Hi! I'm new to downloading mods. Most that I have have downloaded normally shows up as a file on my pc to unzip, but when I try to download this mod it opens in notepad so I'm unsure how to make it work :(
Hi :) Sounds like your default unzip program is set to open as notepad maybe (change your Open With to something else, like 7zip). My mod is a zip file and you can preview the contents from the File download page to see everything that is included.
