Future Plans (priority order)
- It allows you to load custom scarecrows, but does not come with any
- It only modifies the scarecrow sprites and does not modify the rest of the craftables file
- I initially made this because a lot of old scarecrow mods were never updated to the content pack format, so this is basically a dynamic content pack for those.
Requirements
- SMAPI
- Content Patcher
- The Craftables.xnb or Craftables.png which contains the scarecrows sprites you wish to use
How to Use
- Place the folder "[CP] Scarecrow Replacer" into the StardewValley/Mods folder
- Within "[CP] Scarecrow Replacer," copy the desired Craftables.xnb or Craftables.png file into the "assets" folder (without this it will just not do anything)
- Run Stardew Valley with SMAPI
Making Your Own Scarecrows
- A guide to editing XNB files can be found here: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Editing_XNB_files
- Unpack the Craftables.xnb file and edit the scarecrow regions of the Craftables.png
- Pack the PNG and JSON back into an XNB, or just use the edited PNG

- 1.0.3 Fixed a dumb omission that prevented loading of Deluxe Scarecrows. Added config option for Deluxe Scarecrow (off by default) since old xnb mods will not have that texture and it would show up invisible.
Future Plans (priority order)
Support for Deluxe Scarecrow textures- Config options to load certain scarecrow textures from different files (user specifies which scarecrow from which files)
- If possible, support for animated textures
