Do only the Legend and the Angler work for getting him as a roommate? It would be neat for people who like to keep their legendary fish if you could also invite him with the extended family versions (Legend II and Ms. Angler)
Yes, but only because it was quite an ordeal updating it to work in 1.6. I am hoping that there will soon be an ability to append tags instead of overwriting them. Once that happens, I will add it to the family again as well.
Ever since updating this mod for 1.6 I have found that we no longer can get to the point where mister ginger will speak. We aren't getting the final cut scene where the wizard requests the void essence to make mister ginger speak. We have checked the events list and are sure all the ones prior to that are done. The mod isn't reporting errors in smapi.
Very confused since it seems to be fine for everyone else. Can you think of anything that might be causing this?
When I gave him a legendary fish, the game thought it was a gift, not an invitation to live together. Ten Hearts, but I haven’t seen Eight-Heart Scene and Ten-Heart Scene yet. In the meantime I use PolyamorySweet, but I'm not married or living with anyone yet. I don't know which part is the problem.
I had the same problem I tried crimson fish and it said it was a gift but then I tried the legend and it worked, I also have the polyamory sweet and saw both events :)
I can't find your Tristan mod anymore, do I have to download the East Scarp mod now to meet him (again)? Do I still ned Mr Ginger at 10 hearts to meet Tristan? Really hope to finally be able to meet him ingame. Sorry if you wrote this somewhere, I only found Tristan in the wiki of the East Scarp mod page and was really confused.
If you take him in as a roomie, does he provide any services like regular spouses do? (I.e. mending fences, watering crops, etc)
I'm concerned because my regular cat is a hard worker keeping pests (mice, crows, Morris) off my land, and all she gets is a pet house and a bowl of water. If some other cat moves in and gets a whole room without working for it, things are going to turn nasty very quickly.
He behaves as a normal roommate, like Krobus and is guaranteed to give you more sass than your outdoor cat. I believe he also does the typical spouse behaviour, including possibly taking over most of the bed and pretending to water your crops.
I'm not sure if anyone else has mentioned this, but when opening Stardew Valley after having updated to this mod's newest file, SMAPI still claims there is a new update. It seems that the problem lies in the manifest file; the version number within was not updated to say "1.6.0" - so for anyone who wants to clean that up themselves that's just a small notepad update so that SMAPI doesn't confuse you saying this mod isn't up to date!
