Any thoughts on expanding the mod with more giant crops? Maybe a giant Broccoli or something? Asking because I accidentally made 27 3x3 areas on my farm, so I have one extra

Oh. I had based my comment on the Config file, not the Content file. And the Config one doesn't show Broccoli as an option to turn on/off.

Have you updated to the latest version?

The version for 1.6 didnt have a config for it so I didnt spoil the new crops for anyone. But the latest version supposedly has an option for it (someone else helped with the uldate so Im notsure off the top of my head)

Yes, I downloaded the latest version, unpacked it and checked the config file. Brocolli does not appear in the list.
As a tip, I have seen other mods use submenus for their mod config files. Maybe you could hide the Broccoli (maybe carrot/squash too if they are planned for future versions) under a 'v1.6 spoilers' menu?

Do we know if anyone is currently working on moving giant flowers over to 1.6?

That's not my mod, so I don't know. Lumisteria Flowers and Crops has some flowers that turn giant, you might like them.

EDIT: I was getting started on an update and then saw that someone else had just posted an update to Neo's Giant Flowers!

I had a 10x1 row of grown parsnips beside some half grown parsnips, and they created a giant parsnip with the ones that aren't grown yet. I'm certainly not complaining, though! Hahaha

Yep, that's vanilla behavior. Only the centermost crop has to be full-grown. My mod doesn't change mechanics at all.

Hey I had an idea yesterday... how about...ENORMOUS CROPS. Like make there be a chance of making even bigger giant crops. 6x6 or even 9x9. Of course with a smaller chance of it happening to keep the balance, but it would be quite cool I guess haha.

Hi! You will find it really easy to use another mod called Generic Mod Config Menu, which gives you an in-game menu to choose your options in. The mod config menu is found on the bottom left of the title screen when it is installed, or at the very bottom of your options menu when loaded into the game. Hope that helps!

Hi, is there an option to increase the chance of giant crops for vanilla crops such as CauliflowersMelonsPumpkinsPowdermelons ?

No, it's out of scope for this mod. You can make a separate mod for it.

Hi, it's me again. I think I've encountered another bug.
Now, I have a giant crop for Ancient Fruit.
I just want it to become a decoration for the farm.
Other parts of my farm are being planted Ancient Fruits.
I don't want these to become giant crops.
    So, I made three modifications.

    1:
    "Regrowable Crop Chance": "very high",
    "Ancient Fruit": "false",

    2:
    "Regrowable Crop Chance": "off",
    "Ancient Fruit": "true",

    3:
    "Regrowable Crop Chance": "off",
    "Ancient Fruit": "false",

Either one will turn my Giant Crop into a red error symbol.
    Not just Ancient Fruit.
    Including other Giant Crops.
My English is very poor. I'm sorry, I hope you can understand what I mean.

To address this issue, my current modifications are as follows:

      config:
      "Regrowable Crop Chance": "very high",
      "Ancient Fruit": "true",

      content:
      "very high":0.05→0

This way, it won't make my giant crop disappear.
And also won't let my Ancient Fruits become Giant Crops.
But this is just a temporary solution.
I am using web translation, so my words may be difficult to understand. I apologize for this.

Finally, let me summarize what I said as simply as possible. My farm has an area where ancient fruits are grown, and I don't want them to become Giant Crops, but I also want to use a giant crop for Ancient Fruit as a decoration for the farm,When I change the probability to off or uncheck the ancient fruits,It will make my giant crop disappear and turn into a red error symbol, that's it.

I thought I could grow these in my greenhouse, and was disappointed to find out I can’t

is it possible you could add this feature? I would really love to have all the giant crops growing in greenhouses as I don’t have enough space normally on my farm

Sorry, this is outside of my modding skills, but if another modder makes a mod which allows this behavior, then my giant crops will work with it automatically.

I'll look into it. I know there's a way to make casks work in any building through a Content Patcher mod, so I'll see if there's a similar thing for Giant Crops. I miss them too.

It should be a simple edit to a certain data field in the location data for whichever map you want to enable giant crops on. Detailed on this page under AllowGiantCrops https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Migrate_to_Stardew_Valley_1.6. But it's out of scope for this mod

Does this mod work for Powdermelon? I tried changing the value in 'content.json' to 1, but the next day they didn't grow into giant Powdermelon.

No, this won't affect any vanilla giant crops. The chance value is only for crops added by this mod.

You could easily add the option to the normal.json file to give it a higher chance. There are examples in there of how to set the different fields.

That's actually always been vanilla behavior. The difference before was that the More Giant Crops mod could actually change that behavior (so there must be a setting or something to allow the Greenhouse to have giant crops).

I wonder if it's possible to change that with just Content Patcher. I know you can make any building able to hold casks with a CP mod.
