No super hard promises but I'll update my mods over the weekend or by the end of the month at the latest. I haven't modded in a long, long while and I will need to get familiar with the latest game and modding changes.
I can't create carbon fiber, all the necessary mods are there, the recipe is there, but when I put fabric and charcoal in the loom, I get a shirt, and not what I need, what am I doing wrong?
Pretty sweet furnace upgrade one it becomes craftable, and on top of that this mod seems to work with the Combine Machines mod that reduces the time needed to smelt even more
I freaking love this mod. At first glance, I thought it was a cheat item until I saw what was required.
First comes the Battery Pack. This needs LV 6 Foraging for the Lightning Rod, unless you happen to get it elsewhere, which is a gamble. You can get friendly with Pam and she might send you one. Kent might send one also. If you complete the Children's Bundle at the community center, you can get 3.
OK, that's one hurdle. Next is Level 7 Farming for the Loom. You can get cloth from various places or even wool. But the loom is hard required to fabricate the Carbon Fiber. And if you don't get cloth from another source? That means you'll have to rely on raising Rabbits in a Deluxe Coop or Sheep in a Deluxe Barn.
So those two hurdles alone helps balance out both the no coal usage and the reduced waiting time. But wait, there's more! In order to even make this, you need to buy the recipe from the Dwarf. The Dwarf! THE DWARF! That means finding all the Dwarven Scrolls and turning them in. Holy baloney I have never gotten that done in the first year unless I powered through the caves. So that's a feat unto itself. So all in all, this isn't something you can just grab and go with. It's going to take time and effort to make it possible.
Unless you use CJB's Item Spawner, but then all bets are off anyway ^^
But what gets me is how well this fits in the game. Consider the source: the Dwarf. Lore-wise, this makes sense. They do have some advanced technology and something along these lines would fit pretty well with their whole motif.
Of all the mods I've downloaded, this one just seems to fit right into place. It's not cheaty, campy, or just trying to dump stuff into the game. It's feels almost like it's part of the game itself. So thank you for the work and effort you put into this. 10/10, would download again.
