Your art makes Emily look SO much nicer and more rad. Though I'd like to give this Emily my own touch. Whenever I edit this mod, can I have your permission to upload the edit publicly? If there is a better way of us getting into contact, then I can run the edits through you before I do anything with them. I do plan on giving you credit either way.
Love love LOVE this Emily. Checked the wiki and xnb mods are no longer supported. Any future plans to allow this to run as a SMAPI mod?
Edited to add: I tried downloading anyway. The sprite is working, buy haven’t figured the portrait out yet. Still seeing Emily’s original portrait. Appreciate any advice from anyone who sees this! (I’m brand new to modding)
Toss in Emily's portraits into the portrait folder. (Make sure to remove the original files first and place them in a folder outside your Stardew Valley game folder first.)
i copy the files over directly into the content folder and nothing works im using stardew valley enhanced and ridgeside village along with xtardew valley can you help me get this working please
Yea, something weird is going on, but I think I found a "fix" if you have the Content Patcher installed (or, at least, it SEEMS to be an issue with the Content Patcher). My issue was that the portrait loaded in, but not the character sprite. If this doesn't sound like you issue then I suppose you could ignore the rest.
-I replaced the portrait and sprite in the Contents folder -I installed a Content Patcher mod which modified Emily's appearance (will link the specific one I used below) https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/4876?tab=files&file_id=21499 -I went into that Mod's folder and modified the Content.json (Under //emily portraits change "Action": "Load", into "Action": "", this will make sure the portrait for this mod is not loaded instead of the one in the Content folder.) -The Mod will register the sprites in the content folder instead of the ones for the CP mod (not 100% sure why. That is probably where the true problem lies) so you will have both the portrait for this mod and sprite for this mod active.
IDK if this is helpful or is specifically the problem you are experiencing, but it was my issue so I figure leaving some guidance just in case anyone else is experiencing this would help. I REALLY like this Emily replacer mod so I'd like people to have even a temporary fix if they're running into the same issue I had.
I was so excited to try out your fix but realized it doesn't go with the mod I found on changing seasonal outfits for Emily. Hoping there would be a content patcher version because this portrait of Emily is the best one out there and I'm willing to have her stay the same for all seasons!

Wow! This is a lovely re-imagining of Emily. I'm having a tough time choosing whether to use this or stick with Chisami's Emily Reimagined. Whatever I choose, great job.
