This is an updated version of Sprint Sprint Sprint (not to be confused with Sprint Sprint, which is this mod)

Known bugs/issues
[MINOR] If your sprint key is not set to Left Shift (i.e. the default run keybind that comes with SDV), you will move very fast when you're sprinting. This can be fixed by adjusting the speed found in the config.json / using Generic Mod Config Menu (see description for more info on configuration)
(tiny reminder that if you like this mod, give an endorsement to this mod)
As of now, the Configuration Options' descriptions https://github.com/JessebotX/StardewValleyMods/blob/master/Sprint%20Sprint/docs/configuration.md are incorrect.
SprintSpeed is NOT the player's sprint speed, but the added speed, meaning if you set it to 8, then player's actual speed will be: base running speed + SprintSpeed = 5 + 8 = 13, so if you leave it as 8 by default, the player will run very, very fast.
Same thing for HorseSpeed. It is NOT the actual horse's speed, but the added speed, meaning if you set it to 2, then riding speed will be: base riding speed + HorseSpeed = 6.6 + 2 = 8.6
I have the mod that makes Espressos give extra speed instead just +1 longer.
I also installed CJB cheat menu. But it isn't affecting the speed at all. Base speed or sprinting speed. It makes sense for the horse speed to ignore buffs, but the player speed should still be affected by buffs.
Edit: I believe the problem comes from replacing the player's added speed instead adding this mod's speed to it.
Yeah, this is correct. It's overrides the Game1.player.addedSpeed instead of actually add the SprintSpeed to it. Unfortunately, I tried to change Game1.player.addedSpeed to Game1.player.Speed, but it causes some screen dragging while riding the horse.
This mod and Faster Paths Mod would be really great to play together but this mod overwrites the speed boost of the paths. Can you please make it compatible with it? a similar Post over there. Thanks for this great mod!
I'm having trouble with Split-Screen. The mod works with controller and keyboard just fine, just not at the same time. I'm having to go without so that my sister can use the sprint because it only accepts one key as the sprint key and I can't fool the game with autohotkey. Is it possible you could add a secondary sprint key or something?
I love being able to sprint in exchange for stamina. It is the best. I just wanted to see if you'd consider adding some scaling to the sprinting. Coming out hauling ass right away is great but I was thinking about how it would be neat if your sprint started off only being a slight boost and got faster for each stardrop you ate, and the current speed being the max. Just a thought since the game uses scaling for nearly all it's mechanics.
*Edit to add additional thoughts* I notice this makes food speed boosts not do anything, just curious why they don't stack? I get that this may be intentional as the stacking may be just a bit too much, but I figured I'd ask to see for sure.

Checking a decompiled buffs.cs shows buffs add their effects like this:
Game1.player.addedSpeed += this.buffAttributes[9];
But in this mod it's not added, it's replaced:
https://github.com/JessebotX/StardewValleyMods/blob/master/Sprint%20Sprint/Sprint%20Sprint/ModEntry.cs
Game1.player.addedSpeed = this.Config.SprintSpeed;
